Iza Calzado grateful to be part of ‘Lolo and the Kid’ movie

"It’s a huge blessing to be a part of something so impactful."

These were the words of Iza Calzado as she reflected on being part of the hit Netflix movie Lolo and the Kid.

On her Instagram page, the actress wrote: "I’m so grateful to be a part of Lolo and the Kid. When I first read the script, I knew I wanted to be a part of it because it made me cry."

The Kapamilya star relayed that those who got to watch the movie told her that they were also moved by the film.

"People have been approaching me to tell me that they’ve watched the film because it touched their hearts and made them cry too," she said.

Iza encouraged those who haven't watched the movie yet to catch the film on Netflix.

"If you have the time today, since some classes are cancelled and a lot of us are home, I would love to recommend you watch Lolo and the Kid. 🤍 I hope it touches your heart the way it’s touched mine," she said.

"Thank you, everyone. Please stay safe and stay dry," she added.

Iza also shared that co-star Juan Karlos is making a music video and fans can get a chance to be part of it.

As per its IMDB, Lolo and the Kid follows the story of "a hustler and the child he took in routinely [who] con the wealthy - but a life-changing opportunity could end their inseparable bond."

The movie is headlined by Joel Torre and Euwenn Mikael.

Lolo and the Kid premiered on Netflix on August 7.
