Sabrina Carpenter scores first No. 1 album with ‘Short n’ Sweet’: ‘Thank you for believing in me’

Sabrina Carpenter scored her first number one album in the US.

The singer's latest record Short n' Sweet landed the top spot of the Billboard 200, one week since it was released.

"Can’t express my gratitude. My first #1 album!!!! Thank you for listening to Short n’ Sweet," Sabrina posted on her Instagram page.

The singer added: "Thank you for believing in me all these years! Couldn’t do any of this without you 💋:’) This feels really special. Love you all."

Fans online were quick to congratulate Sabrina on this milestone.

"SO DESERVED AND SOOOO PROUD. congrats angel 🤍🤍," one fan commented.

"Thank you for this beautiful album. so grateful for you and your art forever 💞 congrats love," another fan wrote.

As per report by Billboard based on Luminate, Short n' Sweet gained 362,000 album units in the U.S. during the week ending on August 29.

Out of the total units sold, 184,000 are from album sales, 176,000 are streaming equivalent album units, and 2,000 are track equivalent album units.

Three songs from her album also landed three spots in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 including "Taste" at No. 2, "Please Please Please" at No. 3, and "Espresso" at No. 4.

Sabrina released Short n' Sweet on August 23.

"I feel extremely lucky that each time I write a new record, I learn a little bit more about myself, and can create from that place," she said upon the release of her new record.

The singer described creating Short n' Sweet as "one of the most special, honest, up and down, stupid and fun experiences of my life."

She added: "I thought if something was funny enough to make me laugh then maybe it belonged in a song. Happy or sad!"

The "Espresso" singer also extended her gratitude to the team behind the album.

"Thank you to my brilliant talented friends, writers, producers, mixers, engineers, and creative minds that helped me bring this world and these songs to life. Not a serious thought was thunk yet somehow they were.. lol I love you all and am so grateful," she remarked.

"I will keep this short n sweet buuuut more soon. Go listen now and I hope you love it," she added.
