<p>Former Viva Hot Babes member Andrea del Rosario opened up about the health condition of her daughter Bea.</p><p>In an interview with Karen Davila for her vlog, Andrea revealed that her daughter was born with a rare congenital disease.</p><p>&quot;[It&#x27;s] called jejunal atresia. Nalaman ko siya nung nasa loob siya (referring to her pregnancy),&quot; she relayed.</p><p>&quot;I was having this procedure done wherein di ba may picture sa loob, habang nasa loob siya, and then the technician told me, &#x27;I think there&#x27;s something wrong with your baby,&#x27; because it was in America. He showed me an image and lo and behold parang may grape-like image on the ultrasound. Patients with this disorder are born with a complete mechanical obstruction of the proximal small intestine.&quot;</p><p>Andrea explained: &quot;In layman&#x27;s term, buhol-buhol ang bituka niya. They had to cut a big portion of it and she was left with a very short gut that&#x27;s why she was also diagnosed with short gut syndrome.&quot;</p><p>The actress admitted that there was a time that she was blaming herself for what happened to her daughter.</p><p>&quot;I asked myself, Lord ano ba to? Na-karma ba ako? Is this something that you are doing to punish me? So I had all these questions. I was blaming myself. As a mother you can&#x27;t helped but blame yourself. Where did I go wrong?&quot; she recalled.</p><p>As she grew in faith as a Christian, Andrea learned not to blame herself for her daughter&#x27;s fate. </p><p>&quot;I learned that karma is actually an ancient Indian idea wherein it&#x27;s a consequence of your actions. Is this a recurring thing? For instance last January we had a major surgery again. They found something, &#x27;yung nutrition niya kind of affected. We&#x27;re very close with the daughter of Anthony as well. We&#x27;re lucky because I&#x27;m happy that Bea has that male figure in her life. They&#x27;re into sports.
