Kapamilya director and producer Theodore Boborol took to social media to pen a message following the big win of the series Zoomers at the ContentAsia Awards 2024 awards ceremony which was held in Taipei, Taiwan on September 5.

"Come to think of it, this is my first award for a series wearing the producer’s hat! 😱 Thank you to the jury of the ContentAsia Awards 2024 for awarding Zoomers as the Best Asian Short Form Drama Series," he wrote.

He went on: "This award, of course, is shared with every member of Team Zoomers led by our Season 1 director Chad Vidanes, supervising producer Roda dela Cerna & Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi."

Theodore also shared snapshots of the memorable moments from the awards ceremony on social media.

"Left the venue feeling inspired by the artists and creatives I’m with in these pictures. Thank you @contentasia.tv!" he stated.

Zoomers follows the story of senior high school students whose friendship, forged during the pandemic, is challenged as they confront personal struggles and group issues as a barkada.

The show chose fresh stars as its cast members. In a press conference of the show back in January, Theodore relayed why the decided to do so.

"For me, kaya kami sumugal sa bago kasi tama yung process ng creatives. Pinai-interview kami ng upcoming stars and then from their stories,  gumawa kami ng kuwento about Gen Z. And for me, mas maganda 'yung kuwento ng Gen Z tapos 'yung nagpoportray mga Gen Z [din]," he stated.

Zoomers was renewed for season 2 which premiered in July.
