Gillian Vicencio knows how to spice up her roles, proving her versatility and hundred percent dedication to her craft.

She will do anything for a project even if it means trading her long locks for an undercut like the one she sports as the boyish Concepcion aka Tox in 2 Good 2 Be True. It isn’t the first time Gillian shaved one side of her head for a role though, having done the same in the iWantTFC series “Kargo.” If only possible, she would’ve wanted to make the hairstyle look more extreme but she had to consider the length of time it’d take to grow it back.

Gillian completes her boyish look by donning spunky outfits on screen, which didn’t require much adjustment since she also likes loose-fitting clothes in real life. “Comfy kasi ‘yung mga damit na pinipili ko, like crop tops, joggers, gan’un lang talaga, kung saan ako komportable,” said Gillian, who saves the glam and feminine looks on special days.

Starry-eyed, she talked about all the reasons that make 2 Good 2 Be True one for the books. Apart from it being her first teleserye, it’s also a romantic-comedy, something lighter than all she’s done before. “Usually kasi ‘yung mga nagagawa kong role, mabibigat ‘yung dala-dala ng character. First time ko ‘to na hindi gan’un kabigat, so okay din, masaya na ang dami kong nagagawang characters,” she shared.

Best of all, it’s topbilled by her superstar idols Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Like any other teleserye frosh, Gillian felt the jitters working with KathNiel, especially Daniel whom she gets to share more scenes with. She's one of Daniel's sidekicks in the story alongside Matt Evans and Yves Flores.

According to Gillian, the on-screen bond between them “4 na itlog” is similar to their off-cam relationship, “Nakikita n’yo naman sa mga naunang episodes na lagi nila akong dinadaot, lagi nila akong pinagti-trip-an na tatlo. Kahit off-cam, may mga gan’un talagang moments. Kaya sobrang saya lang ng set, as in ang gaan ng energy. Parang naglalaro lang kami doon.” The jitters turned into excitement as everyone in the taping bubble was welcoming.
