The auditions</strong></div><p>Did you know that the audition process for “Stranger Things” was really tough?</p><p>A total of 906 boys and 307 girls were screened just to find the most suitable young leads. So, yes, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, and Caleb McLaughlin are fortunate to have landed their roles.</p><p>Since the kids were literally “strangers” to one another at first, they decided to create a group chat before shooting began, such that when they arrived in Atlanta, all four of them already developed a close-knit bond.</p><div><strong>2. Dustin</strong></div><p>Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, is one of the most loved characters in the series.</p><p>But the 14-year-old child star went through dramatic changes during the filming so much so that his voice was no longer used in the additional dialogue recording at the post-production stage.</p><p>And, yes, he now has teeth.</p><div><strong>3. Eleven</strong></div><p>The 12-year-old Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, was anxious about shaving her head at first. But the directors were eventually able to convince her by telling her to “have the mind-frame of Charlize Theron in Mad Max.”</p><div><strong>4. Barb</strong></div><p>From being a movie theater employee, Shannon Purser was tapped to play Barb. This is her first acting role. Unfortunately, her character was gone too soon.</p><div><strong>5. Holly Wheeler</strong></div><p>Holly Wheeler, the younger sister of Nancy and Mike Wheeler, is actually played by two people -- twins Anniston and Tinsley Price.</p><p>They also played Judith Grimes in Season 4 of AMC&#x27;s “The Walking Dead.”</p>
