<h3><strong>#KitakitsUlit sa Simbang Gabi when you get a free cup of coffee after attending the traditional early morning mass</strong></h3><p>Beyond glimmering holiday lights and selfless gift-giving, Christmas in the Philippines is all about tradition.</p><p>It&#x27;s a yearly celebration characterized by love and hope.</p><p>Most family gatherings are also scheduled in December, since this is the time when Filipinos--even those who work on faraway shores--come home to their families.</p><p>Festive buffets, Christmas carols, party games, and other Filipino traditions are evident during this season. One of the most popular among them is the Simbang Gabi.</p><p>Simbang Gabi, known as Misa de Gallo in Spanish, and loosely translated as early morning mass in English, is a series of masses usually conducted before daybreak. This Catholic tradition begins on December 16 and ends on December 24.</p><p>During Simbang Gabi, the churches are usually packed with a devout community of churchgoers who believe that upon completing the nine masses, their Christmas wishes will come true.
