Here’s your chance to sample over 300 wines at the Philippines’ best-curated wine affair

<p>Just in time for the holidays, on December 7, the 3rd annual Manila Uncorked gathers together more than 25 of the country’s top wine suppliers to showcase over 300 wines, including premium bottles, from around the world. Open to the public, guests simply register online to get their pick of the more than 300 wines to sample to their heart’s content. Guests will also get the chance to taste and learn about sake, the Japanese rice wine that has been gaining in popularity in the Philippines. Other wine-related activities include a Chef Throwdown where two chefs have a friendly battle to create the best dish to match a wine, as well as a Blind Tasting Challenge moderated by special guest Luis de Santos, the first Filipino Master Sommelier.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/ancx/food-n-drink/2019/28/3manilaun.png"/><figcaption>First Filipino Master Sommelier Luis de Santos (photo by Erin Cooper).</figcaption></figure></div><p>With wine, there has to be food, and Manila Uncorked will be offering Japanese, Indian, Spanish, American, and French bites provided by Chuck’s Deli, Dusit Hospitality Management College, dusitD2 The Fort, Raintree Restaurants, Ricksha Streetside Tandoor, Terry’s, and Txanton.</p><p>Those interested can choose between two types of tickets. A regular ticket priced at P1,200 lets you taste over 300 wines as well as sign up for any of the wine sessions happening simultaneously with the tasting. A VIP ticket priced at P1,800 offers the same inclusions as a regular ticket, plus a VIP tasting of more premium wine selections, a chance to join a Masterclass conducted by Luis de Santos, and a chance to participate as a food taster in the Chef Throwdown.
