Toyo Eatery teams up with Shake Shack for an exclusive one-day menu

Well-loved American fast-casual restaurant chain Shake Shack is partnering with Toyo Eatery, recognized as one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, for a one-day culinary event. The exclusive menu will be available on November 11 from 9 a.m. until supplies last at Shake Shack Central Square BGC.Shake Shack&#x27;s culinary director, Mark Rosati, collaborated with Chef Jordy Navarra, the owner of Toyo Eatery, to craft a menu that celebrates Filipino cuisine.The Chicken and Cheek BBQ (P595) features an all-natural, cage-free crispy chicken thigh, coated in Panaderya Toyo&#x27;s sourdough batter, and topped with Toyo Eatery&#x27;s pork jowl, BBQ sauce, and a pickle medley of atsarang papaya, red onions, burong mangga, cucumber, and aruy-uy. This delectable creation is served on a non-GMO potato bun. The pork jowl comes from black pigs raised on a farm in Batangas, ensuring it is antibiotic and hormone-free.To complement your meal, you can enjoy Inasal Fries (P325), which are crinkle-cut fries dressed with Toyo Eatery&#x27;s inasal mayonnaise, garnished with garlic chips, and served with a side of fresh calamansi and vinegar chili dip. This unique boozy lemonade is prepared in-house with real cane sugar and marks a first for Shake Shack Philippines.Conclude your meal with a sweet treat, Tsokolate at Tostadong Bigas Concrete (P355), featuring frozen chocolate custard blended with Toyo Eatery&#x27;s classic toasted rice pudding, candied Palawan cashews and cacao nibs. The frozen custard is made with real cane sugar, cage-free eggs, and milk sourced from dairy farmers committed to not using artificial growth hormones. The toasted rice is made with local organic black rice from Capas, Tarlac.Mark Rosati, Shake Shack&#x27;s culinary director, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception Shake Shack has received in Manila and is excited about their first chef collaboration with Jordy.“Chef Jordy’s passion and creativity in reimagining Filipino cuisine while staying true to its roots is nothing short of remarkable. Navarra, on the other hand, says working with a brand like Shake Shack gave his team a chance to have fun with flavors, adding that they thoroughly enjoyed incorporating their flavors into Shake Shack&#x27;s offerings.As a special treat, the first guest will receive an exclusive Shake Shack x Toyo Eatery merch from the collaboration, while the first 30 dine-in customers will receive a limited edition Shake Shack x Toyo Eatery bucket hat, which is an ode to Chef Jordy’s love for hats. The entire merchandise will be available on the event day only.
