He is the pillar of the Agilas, the reason they can fly.

In every battle they faced, Lolo Delfin (Jaime Fabregas)’s great leadership helped the Agilas spread their wings and emerge stronger. His nuggets of wisdom brought them comfort and his positivity breathed them hope. Relive how Lolo Delfin became a father figure to the valiant fighters via this Kapamilya Toplist of scenes from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

General Delfin Borja is well trained in military affairs, thus he developed strategies for their missions. And apart from having great combat abilities, he is also a sharp strategist. One of his constant reminders to the Agilas is to be vigilant, especially in dealing with strangers. He has a big heart for people, sure, but it never weakened his power to smell the enemies. He was the first one to doubt Armando (John Estrada)’s sincerity, and later on, the team would realize Lolo Delfin was right all along.

As a leader and father figure, Lolo Delfin nurtured his younger comrades. He wasn’t the leader who power trips, but the kind to grow with his subordinates. He learned along with them. He also made sure they learned from his experiences. There were scenes of him relating his challenges as a police officer and public servant. Through his stories, he’d teach the Agilas to value their dignity over power. He might have been wrongfully accused but he knew the truth, and that’s all that matters.

Lolo Delfin would tell the younger Agilas to be truthful to their duties and be devoted to the country. He lived by example.

He is human and he gets scared at times. But he never complained about their situation, teaching the Agilas to be hopeful amid trials. He said the truth would eventually come out and that evil will pay. And because of that, he finds beauty in their situation. In a scene, he appreciated the peace in their hiding place. He joyfully greeted everyone as he recovered from an illness. Lolo Delfin could bounce back easily, instilling a sense of resilience in his team.

When the Agilas broke their wings after Cardo (Coco Martin) fell in Lily (Lorna Tolentino)’s hands, Lolo Delfin fixed the team. He healed, inspired, and united them.

Lolo Delfin shared light-hearted moments with his men, too. He used to be supportive of their love life, giving Cardo and Alyana (Yassi Pressman)’s love advice, and teasing Jerome (John Prats) to Bubbles (Bianca Manalo) in another scene.

Above all, Lolo Delfin shaped the Agilas into faithful men. He’d always lead the group in prayers. Lolo Delfin might be the most battle-hardened and empowering Agila but he also surrenders to the Man above. “Darating at darating ang mga kalaban sa mga pintuan namin at hindi kami pwedeng tumigil sa pakikipaglaban,” he said, lifting their battles to Him.

Witness the Agilas pay their final salute to the beloved General Delfin Borja, tonight, in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
