Around six months after the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 was held on September 30 last year, its organizers have recently bared the 32 gorgeous candidates that will vie for the highly coveted title and the stunning “La Mer en Majeste” crown in the much-awaited beauty pageant that will be held on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

The event was hosted by KC Montero and featured the beauty, grace, and wit of 28 contestants who made it to the coronation night. Only 16 candidates advanced to the swimsuit and evening gown competitions, namely, Miss Masbate Kirsten Danielle Delavin, Miss Pangasinan Maureen Wroblewitz, Miss Aklan Christelle Abello, Miss Misamis Oriental Chella Grace Falconer, Miss Manila Izabella Jasmine Umali, Miss Albay Janella Joy Cuaton, Miss Cavite Victoria Vincent, Miss Angeles City Mirjan Hipolito, Miss Mandaluyong City, Maria Corazon Abalos, Miss Taguig City Katrina Dimaranan, Miss Cebu Province Steffi Rose Aberasturi, Miss Laguna Leren Mae Bautista, Miss Parañaque City Maria Ingrid Teresita Santamaria, Miss Romblon Jane Nicole Miñano, Miss San Juan Rousanne Marie Bernos, and Miss Cebu City Beatrice Luigi Gomez.

Sam Concepcion boosted the confidence of the ravishing finalists cladded in sleek red swimwear with his hit song “Diwata”, while Michael Pangilinan serenaded them with his song “Kamahalan” as they paraded their fabulous evening gowns on the runway.

As they were able to impress the panel of judges with their mesmerizing splendor and breathtaking pasarela, Miss Parañaque City, Miss Masbate, Miss Mandaluyong City, Miss Laguna, Miss Albay, Miss Cebu Province, Miss Pangasinan, Miss Cavite, Miss Taguig, and Miss Cebu City advanced to the Top 10.

The number of finalists was then trimmed down to five, with Miss Cebu Province, Miss Cebu City, Miss Taguig City, Miss Cavite, and Miss Pangasinan making it to the Question and Answer round.

The second one to be called was Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City, who’s firm in her pursuit of continuously motivating and empowering others to overcome hardships amid her own fights of sadness. This was her response to the question, “If you become Miss Universe Philippines and become sad and uninspired, how will you continue to inspire others during your reign?”

Katrina Dimaranan of Taguig was next, who stressed that compassion and empathy are the two most inspiring qualities that a Miss Universe Philippines should possess as it’s part of their duty to connect and relate to people from different places and classes.

Cavite’s Victoria Vincent, meanwhile, shared that the most inspiring part of her journey in the pageant was to be able to meet and interact with people who have faced and conquered a lot of battles, which motivates her to continue helping our kababayans in her own way through architecture and heritage conservation.

Last, but definitely not the least, was Maureen Wroblewitz of Pangasinan, who confessed that joining the pageant was actually her way of getting out of her comfort zone since she used to be afraid in talking in front of a crowd. Thus, she hoped to inspire other people to also bravely reach for their dreams and the universe, just like what she did.

In the end, it was Beatrice Gomez of Cebu City who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021, followed by Katrina Dimaranan of Taguig as Miss Universe Philippines-Tourism 2021 and Victoria Vincent of Cavite as Miss Universe Philippines-Charity 2021. Maureen Wroblewitz of Cebu Province was 1st runner-up, while Steffi Rose Aberasturi of Cebu Province was 2nd runner-up.
In the end, it was Beatrice Gomez of Cebu City who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021, followed by Katrina Dimaranan of Taguig as Miss Universe Philippines-Tourism 2021 and Victoria Vincent of Cavite as Miss Universe Philippines-Charity 2021. Maureen Wroblewitz of Cebu Province was 1st runner-up, while Steffi Rose Aberasturi of Cebu Province was 2nd runner-up.
Beatrice Gomez went on to represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant held in Eliat, Israel on December 13, 2021 and finished as a Top 5 finalist.
