Luis’ effortless punchlines plus Blythe’s sparkling energy equals laugh-out-loud collab! Luis Manzano guested on Andrea Brillantes’ vlog channel where they played the Song Association Challenge. In the game, the first player to steal the microphone must sing a song that mentions the given keyword. Andrea’s love for music is no secret to her followers. She even released a few songs a couple of years ago. But, hey, Luis takes pride in being a former MYX VJ, meaning he keeps quite a collection of songs in mind. His facial reactions alone would make you laugh your heart out! Andrea was quick to steal the mic and sing Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” for the first keyword “never.” In the second round, given the word “lucky,” she performed “Lucky” by Twice, which Luis isn’t familiar with. “Ano’ng kanta ‘yun? Kanta ba talaga ‘yan?” he reacted, thus Andrea switched to Britney Spears’ “Lucky.” All Luis managed to say was, “Pambihira! Sarili kong pangalan naunahan ako ng ibang tao. Paano ako lulugar?”She got her third point with Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” for the word “super,” prompting Luis to react, “Pwede bang ulitan?” Since the losing player will take a mystery drink as a consequence, he joked, “I-shot ko na lang, sige na, pinapahaba pa natin ang kwentuhan. May atraso ba ako sa pamilya mo?” Moving on to the fourth round, Luis was finally able to snatch the microphone first in an attempt to sing the keyword “monster.” However, mental block is so real that he ends up just mimicking a monster’s sound, causing Andrea to literally ROFL. His ‘palusot’: “Pa-intro ng kanta! ‘Pag nag-a-ASAP ba kanta kaagad? Siyempre hindi, may intro pa ‘yun di ‘ba?” He finally gave up after exceeding the time limit, “Kung ano pa ‘yung nakuha ko ‘yun pa hindi ko alam.” Andrea, who couldn’t contain her laughter, had to steal. She earned a point by associating the word with Eminem and Rihanna’s “The Monster”Still, Luis, made a protest, “Hindi ba pwede ‘yung akin? ‘Wahh!’ Monster kasi ‘yun, eh.” He joshed, “Ba’t ko ba tinanggap ‘to? Mga subs ni Blythe, lipat na lang kayo, ‘yun na lang kunswelo ko.”Andrea let Luis take the microphone for the keyword “milky way.” He had everyone in the studio erupting in laughter by inventing a song, “Sa TikTok din ‘yun, pauso pa lang.” Well, his opponent let him have his first score, prompting him to react, “Uy, salamat sa awa mo, ha?”He finally did something correct when he associated the word “sing” to Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Sing A Song.” Since she was not convinced, he played the track from his phone to prove that he was not making it up. He was finally getting the vibe as he breezed through Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time” for the word “baby,” adding that he had a crush on the pop icon. Time to get extra competitive! Luis acted like he broke his back trying to steal the microphone from Andrea, who associated the word “say” to James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go.” When he can’t beat his opponent, he’d make fun of her instead. In the next round, Andrea belted out SZA’s “Kill Bill” which has the lyrics, “I might kill my ex, not the best idea.” He jokingly asked, “Kumakanta ka ba o nagkukuwento ka? It’s okay, huwag. Kung ano na mga naiisip mo. Huwag, Blythe.”When given the keyword “hindi,” he said, “Gusto ko masaya,” before singing Basil Valdez’s “Hindi Kita Malilimutan.” For the word “mata,” he thought of “Liwanag Sa Dilim.&quot; So, where’s the keyword? “By Rivermata,” he joked. He tried again, tweaking the lyrics of a popular nursery rhyme, “Mata, tuhod, balikat, ulo.” LOL! “Nakakahiya! Dati pa akong VJ,” he jested. Andrea’s competitive spirit was all over the place when she belted out “Ere” by her <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/seniorhigh2023" target="_blank">Senior High</a> leading man Juan Karlos Labajo to associate the word “bilyon.” This reminded Luis that Juan Karlos or JK was from the first batch of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/thevoicekidsseason4/" target="_blank">The Voice Kids</a> that he hosted. Amused, Andrea comments, “Kuya Luis, ano ‘yung feeling kapag ‘yung mga ganyan na hinahatid mo sila.” He interrupts, “Ano ‘yung pagkakasabi mo ng hinahatid? Parang ako si kamatayan. Saan ko ba hinahatid?” Kidding aside, he expressed pride in being able to witness the growth of artists who used to be part of TV shows he hosted, akin to the joy that Andrea feels when she gets to work with actresses whom she portrayed as younger version. “For example, si Robi [Domingo], isa na sa tinitingalang hosts. ‘Yung PBB season niya, ako naman ‘yung host. So nakakatuwa lang kasi nakikita mo kung paano sila nagsimula. At the same time, nakikita mo may mga experience na kung gaano sila kabait dati, never sila nagbago. It’s a nice thing to witness,” he shared. Andrea took advantage of Luis’ senti mode, as she was able to grab the microphone while he was still distracted. Maybe he sensed that he’s going home defeated, thus he asked ‘resbak’ from his mom, Vilma Santos. Pretending to be talking to his mom on the phone, he cried, “Mommy, huwag mong patapakin ng Batangas ‘to. ‘Yung toll gate niya, ‘pag dumaan siya, kailangan paatras siya.” He asked Andrea to turn off the camera, and then told her, “Kung gusto mo pang makatapak sa Batangas, siguraduhin mong ipapakuha mo sa akin ‘yan.” HAHA!Well, Andrea remained unfazed, singing the “pinakamalungkot” version of “Bahay Kubo.” They took turns in the next rounds, with Luis ending the game singing “Akin Ka Na Lang.”Andrea delivered her closing spiels, “Kitang-kita naman, walang dayaan na nangyari. Si Kuya Luis ay naka-six points.” He butted in, “’Yung pagkakasabi mo, parang awang-awa ka sa akin!” before drinking a shot of pure calamansi juice. Who else couldn’t stop laughing with these two?
