Coco Martin’s recent ‘ganap’ is a fun break from his usual bravado. The Primetime King chilled a bit by playing a throwback trivia game about things reminiscent of his childhood and took on Tagalog tongue twisters.

Invited on Isko Moreno’s YouTube channel, Coco competed with the former in answering questions that every ‘90s kid can relate to. First up is the term for the game of shooting a jolen or marble on a hole. Coco remembers the game but not the correct answer, which is jokaleleng.

Do you still recall the department store in Cubao that displays moving mannequins? It was a popular Christmas attraction before the LED era. “Nagpupunta kami diyan, eh,” gushed Coco, who got his first point by writing down “COD” on his board.

What about the bubblegum that comes with a comic strip? It’s Bazooka Joe. Who else collected those comic strips? Coco failed to get the right answer, saying he liked Tarzan bubble gum more, which was also one of our faves, right? Isko got this round.

Coco then answered the tie-breaker question correctly and won the game.

In the next challenge, he must recite each Filipino tongue twister 5 times in 20 seconds to get a special gift. The “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” lead actor slayed and got a wooden pangkamot (back scratcher), the classic good morning towel, and a bunch of ~precious~ onions.

Before the game, Coco looked back on his simple life with his beloved grandma Lola Matilde and how he rose to stardom.
