Hori7on reveals challenges during training in South Korea, thanks their beloved Anchors

<p>Dreams are getting into full swing for Filipino global pop group Hori7on, who’s back in the Philippines after their rigorous ‘idol’ training and official debut in South Korea.</p><p>The seven charmers – Reyster Yton, Kyler Chua, Vinci Malizon, Marcus Cabais, Kim Ng, Jeromy Batac, and Winston Pineda – are products of the Philippines’ first-ever idol survival show, <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dreammaker"><strong><u>Dream Maker</u></strong></a>, which was a collaboration project of ABS-CBN, MLD Entertainment, and Kamp Korea.</p><p>Catch up with the group via this episode of Kapamilya Chat!</p><div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="06b9cac5decc13edae3497a22831561a" data-ivs-spid="3001384" data-ivs-vid="2813714"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js" type="text/javascript"></script></div><p>Asked how their South Korea training went, Hori7on admitted to facing challenges that almost killed their passion, likely brought about by adjusting to a new environment and the ton of pressure they carry on their shoulders trying to prove their worth to become the next big idols. But when surpassed, these challenges further solidified their group and ignited the fire inside them.</p><p>The training was one for the books, as they got to immerse themselves in the real world of K-Pop. They got to perform and promote on Korean music show M Countdown, which they would only watch on YouTube before. They got to visit popular spots seen in K-dramas and K-pop music videos, enjoy the cool weather, bond by visiting an arcade, and interact with their fandom called “Anchor.”</p><p>Above all, they’re proud to have represented the Philippines in the global music scene. Kim mentioned that they’d feel flattered whenever fans and even production crew of different nationalities cheer on their performances. Reyster summed up the experience as surreal – a dream come true in every sense of the word.</p><p>Following their SoKor experience, the boys staged their first Manila concert, which was a huge success. Asked their favorite parts of the concert, Winston mentioned that it felt good to perform as a group, but it hit different to go on stage solo and parade their individual musicality and charm. Jeromy added that the crowd went wild just on their opening number, and were game to interact down to the final performance. Of course, to keep the K-Pop flavor strong, the Anchors brought their light sticks that when illuminated showed how united and huge the crowd was, something to make the boys feel ‘kilig.’</p><p>From over 62 hopefuls, the seven Hori7on members have proven their talent and worth. Comparing their old selves to the persons they are today, the boys reflected on how simple and ordinary life was before <strong><u>Dream Maker</u></strong>. Most of them were students with big love for performing. With humility, they pay homage to the people who helped them chase their dreams, their families and friends included.
