The video commenced with a little tour of the de Belen abode where the siblings spent their childhood. Kaila mentioned that they previously moved out and decided to go back, “Kasi sayang, it’s a big house.” Their mom, Janice de Belen, had the house renovated, making sure that a big portion would cater to their family's love for cooking and baking. The kitchen was made to be more spacious, and just by a glance, one would know it’s a busy place.

“Sabi ko, hindi ko idadaan kay Mama at saka kay Dad. Kasi meron akong pinapatunayan sa sarili ko. Kung para sa akin talaga ‘to, then magagawa ko siya nang mag-isa lang,” she mused. “Parang, if I’m going to do this, I want to be able to do it by my own two feet. I want to be the one to call the shots for myself. Para at the end of the day, alam kong pinaghirapan ko siya. I’ll cherish it more and para wala ring sisihan.”

When parents decide to separate, there’s surely no escaping the hurt even for the kids. For the de Belen-Estrada family, the process wasn’t easy, especially since Kaila and her siblings were then too young to comprehend things. But as they grew older, they also learned to understand the situation.

We’re happy kasi whatever happened in the past, though it caused us a fair amount of pain, it really was for the best.”

“There was a time na parang it was difficult for us to allow him back or let him in. Kasi, personally, sa akin, I feel like at some point naging ma-pride rin ako, eh. ‘Kaya ko naman ‘yung sarili ko nu’ng wala, bakit ngayon,’ yung gano’n,” confessed Kaila. “Pero after that, sabi ko, where will this pride get me. Wala namang patutunguhan ‘yung pride ko. I mean, this is my chance to rebuild my relationship with my dad na alam kong I was longing for.”
