With how irresistibly handsome and charming he is, not to mention being the amazing and versatile actor, there’s indeed no wonder that Linlang leading man Paulo Avelino is one of the most bankable and sought-after heartthrobs in the country at present.

While these are already enough for us to fall head over heels with him, you’ll surely fall for him deeper once you see how a certified “softie” and gentleman he truly is during his appearance in the latest vlog of Ivana Alawi to promote his newest movie “Elevator”.

But instead of having the typical interview or mukbang that she usually does on her vlog every time she has a guest, the FPJ’s Batang Quiapo actress dared him to a fun and thrilling “P1000 Tiangge Challenge” at a mall in Quezon City. In this challenge, they were given a P1000 budget each to buy fashion pieces that they would use to dress up one another. She urged him to haggle, but he refused since aside from his being too shy to do it, he’s also aware of how difficult it is for the vendors to earn daily.

Since they are two of the biggest stars in the local entertainment scene today, throngs of mall goers and store attendants gathered and followed them wherever they went and stopped. This forced them to pause and stay at one of the dressing rooms while the mall security officials were trying to control the crowd.

In the continuation of their challenge, they stopped by a stall owned by a tandem of a forthright grandmother and a snappy granddaughter, where an interesting and suspenseful turn of events happened. As Ivana tried to haggle over and over again and promised the owners to pay the full amount behind the camera, they repeatedly declined and told them that they had not eaten lunch yet nor earned enough to pay their rent for the day.

The situation eventually got pretty intense between Ivana and the stall owners, especially when the old woman started to pull Ivana’s hair and her granddaughter grew irritable towards the actress. This prompted Paulo to intermeddle in his attempt to pacify both parties, as well as repeatedly expressed his apologies to the two women in behalf of the actress who had already gone irate as well.

As they returned to the dressing room, Paulo, who was able to amazingly keep his cool despite the situation, advised Ivana to calm down and not let what happened ruin her day or mood because it wouldn’t be definitely worth it. He further appeased her by saying, “Huwag na kasi matanda na rin. Siyempre, huwag mananakit ng senior. Kahit gaano ka-salbahe, hindi dapat dinadaan sa inis. Hinga lang. Hinga lang.”

He also gave suggestions to her on what she could do to address the issue and share it with her viewers the proper way without having to divulge the whole incident. But Ivana was totally unstoppable in confronting the two women as they once again went face-to-face inside the dressing room. A ‘violent quarrel’ then ensued between the two parties as nobody wanted to get defeated, with Paulo trying his best to stop them.

And that served as a signal for Ivana to exclaim, “It’s a prank!,” much to the astonishment of Paulo who just mustered a smile as everyone around him laughed. A flashback of how Ivana did it before their meet-up was shown, in which it was revealed that the whole thing was orchestrated by her. She actually rented the stall, while the two women whom she tapped as accomplices were actresses for real, and they are Winnie Mate as the grandma and Mohaira Sanama as the granddaughter.

When asked by Winnie if he really fell into their show, the Kapamilya actor admitted that he’s actually gullible. The prank might have stressed him out, but Paulo is indeed able to win our hearts with how respectful and kindhearted he is.
