<p>In the past year, ABS-CBN has undoubtedly served us with high-caliber teleseryes that indeed had us fascinated with top-notch storytelling and performance from its ensemble cast. But aside from that, there were also series who brought us to some of the most picturesque destinations in the Philippines wherein their lock-in tapings were held for months. Our beloved actors might have to be away from their loved ones for quite some time, yet they’re arguably blessed to be surrounded by awesome colleagues and by stunning sceneries every taping day.</p><p>And just in case you’re still wondering where to go this year to pursue your travel goals and have your well-deserved vacation with yourself, your friends, your significant other, or your family, then you may want to consider the filming locations of the teleseryes that we listed in this special feature!</p><div><strong>FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano</strong></div><p>Let’s start off this tour in the northern part of the country – the Ilocandia – wherein the long-running action drama series filmed majority of its seventh and last season. As our invincible hero Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) and the entire Task Force Agila attempted to escape and hide from their relatively stronger nemeses, they agreed to go north, specifically in Ilocos. Little they did knew that their enemies were going to trail them down with the help of another group who they thought were allies.</p><p>While the action-packed scenes might have thrilled us and brought us to the edge of our seats, the eye-catching backdrop didn’t fail to mesmerize us, too. The program was able to shoot different scenes in various cities and municipalities of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, which included Vigan, San Esteban, Candon, Sta. Lucia, Sarrat, and Laoag. Just on its pilot episode, we were immediately treated to the splendor of Atok, as lead character Dra. Jill Ilustre (Jodi Sta. Maria) was seen running through the field to treat a vehicular accident victim.</p><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="456" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YQoqVfOsGHQ" title="The beginning of Dr. Jill" s="" story="" The="" Broken="" Marriage="" width="798"></iframe></div><p>Since their lock-in taping was mostly shot in the City of Pines, we were able to catch a glimpse of some of the famous tourist spots there, such as Kennon Road, Ili-likha Artist Village, White House of the Lord of Scents, Camp John Hay, and Lion’s Head.</p><p>Apart from Benguet, there was also a portion of the series was shot in its neighboring province of La Union. Do you recall those episodes when Jill visited her Tita Amy and mentor and father figure Dr. Jose Alindayo, M.D. (Ronnie Lazaro), and even almost got herself drowned in the sea due to depression? Those were filmed in a staycation place-cum-art gallery and museum called “Bahay Na Bato”.</p><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="456" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/X_zmjHWjNls" title="Jose finds Jill on the beach | The Broken Marriage Vow" width="798"></iframe></div><div><strong>A Family Affair</strong></div><p>Next is <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/afamilyaffair"><em><strong><u>A Family Affair</u></strong></em></a>, which served as Ivana Alawi’s first-ever teleserye in a lead role. She played as the sultry Cherry Red, who, from being a lovable barrio lass went on to become a resentful bombshell as she exacted revenge towards the Estrella Brothers, portrayed by Sam Milby as Dave, Gerald Anderson as Paco, Jake Ejercito as Seb, and Jameson Blake as Drew.</p><p>While it was also shot in Batangas and Laguna, a huge chunk of the show was shot in the stunning island of Masbate, the “Cattle Capital of the Philippines”. Just on the first episode, the series immediately gave us a glimpse of the province’s rich and colorful tradition and culture by showing us the Rodeo Masbateño Festival held every second week of April, as well as introducing us one of its delicacies, the <em>carmelado</em>, its version of the Pinoy favorite <em>pastillas de leche </em>yet more solid<em>.</em></p><p>Some of the beach scenes were filmed at a beach in Barangay Palani in the town of Balud, as well as at the Buntod Reef Marine Sanctuary &amp; Sandbar in Masbate City. That particular scene wherein Cherry Red and the Estrella Brothers were playing and having a good time during the pilot week, was filmed at the latter. The only one filmed in Visayas in this feature, this action-drama series is entirely shot in the “Queen City of the South”, Cebu.
