They may not be usually expressive of how they feel towards the people they love, but they’re able to show it through their actions. Whether it is pushing us to do better or cushioning our falls from mistakes, our beloved fathers make sure that they are there for us.</p><p>And for some Kapamilya stars, it’s their dads who have been one of their main sources of strength as they go on with their journey in the demanding and complicated world of show business. Although it’s an unfamiliar territory for them, these dads to the stars do everything that they can in order to show their unwavering support for their famous kids.</p><p>With all the sacrifices and hardwork they do, as well as with how they raised their brood into admirable and prolific people, <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com</u></strong></em></a> thinks that they, too, deserve to shine as bright as their children. As we pay tribute to the most beloved and special men in our lives this Father’s Day 2023, let’s meet the awesome non-showbiz dads of our favorite Kapamilya stars in this gallery!</p><div> </div><div><strong>Francine Diaz and Daddy JM</strong></div><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Dirty Linen</u></strong></em></a> actress couldn’t be more grateful for her hardworking and supportive Papa JM, who, together with her Mama Merdick, has been there for her since Day 1. From being an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), he obliged himself to become the personal driver and assistant of Francine, who chauffeurs her to her shoots and other trips, as her showbiz career took off a few years ago.</p><p>And recently, she marked Father’s Day early by dedicating an Instagram post to him in which she said: “There&#x27;s nothing more precious than the love and sacrifice of a father to his daughter! Maraming salamat Pa for all the hardwork, unconditional love and support!”</p><div> </div><div><strong>Kathryn Bernardo and Daddy Teddy</strong></div><p>While the Asia’s Superstar may be living an amazing life as one of the most bankable and illustrious actresses in the country, but she has remained down-to-earth like her “ever so simple papa” Teddy Bernardo, who we only seldom see in her social media posts. In Kathryn’s exclusive interview with him on her YouTube channel in July 2020, we’re able to get a glimpse of their beautiful relationship.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Ivana Alawi and Daddy Samier</strong></div><p>Those who have been watching her vlogs surely knows how tightly bonded Ivana is to her Mama Alawi. But not many people know that she was actually also close to her Daddy Samier when he was still alive. In her previous <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Magandang Buhay</u></strong></em></a> interviews, she recounted their tear-jerking last moment together before he passed away in December 2018, when his Moroccan father expressed his support to her showbiz career.</p><p>He may be gone for years now, but his memories with them are still alive in her. In her recent vlogs chronicling their vacation in Bahrain, Ivana looked back on some of their fondest memories together when she was still a kid and they were still residing there.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Angelica Panganiban and Daddy Mark</strong></div><p>Just in case you do not know yet, Angelica only met her Daddy Mark Charlson in 2010 after being able to find him on Facebook. Although their reunion took decades before it happened, but the time they lost didn’t matter as they immediately connected and bonded upon finding and seeing each other. Angelica also had the chance to meet her relatives in the paternal side, who all welcomed her with open arms.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Julia Montes and Daddy Martin</strong></div><p>Another Kapamilya star who got to meet her father only later in life is Julia. She got reunited with her Daddy Martin Schnittka in 2016 with the help of her fans, who connected her with his paternal cousin Michelle. Aside from her mesmerizing beauty, we also admire her tenacity and strong values, which seemingly come from her Daddy Ulysses. Even though Nadine has already grown up and have a life of her own, their closeness has seemingly remained the same through.</p><p>Attesting to that were when she celebrated her 28<sup>th</sup> birthday in 2021 with her current boyfriend Christophe Bariou and her parents in Siargao, which photos were shared by Daddy Ulysses on Facebook. And early this year, he also proudly flexed on social media the trophies received by her daughter from various award-giving bodies for her exceptional performance in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Deleter.”</p><div> </div><div><strong>Kim Chiu and Daddy William</strong></div><p>Kim’s Daddy William has been there to raise and take care of her and her other siblings, and lead them into becoming who they are at present. When his Daddy Richard suffered from stroke a few years ago, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen" target="_blank"><strong><u>Dirty Linen</u></strong></a> actor unhesitatingly stepped up to help provide for and take care of their family.</p><p>And now that he’s already earning from the slew of projects he does, Seth isn’t only able to give his family a comfortable life, but also gifted his Daddy Richard a brand-new car and motorcycle that they’ve been dreaming of to have.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Alexa Ilacad and Daddy Guy</strong></div><p>Another father of a celebrity that we really don’t see that much is Alexa’s Daddy Richard, who she described as supportive, <em>seloso</em>, and protective. We both love music.”</p><p>While we haven’t seen much of her dad on her IG, but it seems that the two of them are very close since she still a baby, and their favorite bonding activity together are their jamming sessions – based on her Father’s Day tribute for him in 2017.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Darren Espanto and Daddy Lyndon</strong></div><p>Not much is also known about Darren’s relationship with his Daddy Lyndon, but seeing his Father’s Day post for him in 2021, we can say that they’ve been close ever since he was still a baby.
