Who could forget James Reid and Nadine Lustre’s enrapturing characters Clark and Leah in their first primetime teleserye together, On The Wings of Love?

Not only did it exude much effervescence and endearment as JaDine was seen as a phenomenal love team in 2015 only a year after their groundbreaking, phenomenal box office hit together, “Diary Ng Panget,” but their portrayals were also about an identifiable pair, muddled in real-life situations.

While there have been several times Clark and Leah were depicted to have enjoyed blissful moments together as a couple, there were those heart-rending encounters in OTWOL wherein both would get into painful personal dilemmas that have threatened their relationship, even leading to their brief separation.

Their on-air “break-up” exchange as seen in this gallery is considered one of the most unforgettable soundbytes that made On The Wings of Love real and relatable, as we both could put ourselves in their shoes when they made their assertions, while we are heartbroken with the way it is turning out.

Yet what’s wonderful about their characters’ relationship was that love still found a way, and prevailed in their hearts, despite the challenges they faced. They believed that love means never giving up on each other, always being patient, hoping even if there seems to be no hope.

Indeed, this spelled the magic of Clark and Leah, which sparked a genuine real life journey of James and Nadine as an off-screen couple that began when the series wrapped up in 2016 and confirmed to have ended in their joint statement aired on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on January 20.
