<p>Next to pregnancy and giving birth, baptism is one of the important milestones in the life of a person or in a family. More than being a mere traditional ceremony that everyone should go through, it is also a perfect opportunity to celebrate the blessings of life and family.</p><p>And in the recent years, we’ve witnessed not only a number of celebrity pregnancies, but a slew of baptismal as well, as these famous parents proudly shared photos and clips of them welcoming their beloved babies to the Christian world. Check out this Kapamilya Snaps to look back on their respective momentous days!</p><div> </div><div><strong>Janella Salvador</strong></div><p>They may have already called it quits, but the<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/darna" target="_blank"><u><strong> Mars Ravelo’s Darna</strong></u></a> star and Markus Paterson made sure to be both present in the baptism of their unico hijo Baby Jude Trevor, which they held a few days after his second birthday last October 20. </p><p>It was seemed to be an intimate celebration as it was attended by a few of their families and close friends in-and-out of showbiz.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Angeline Quinto</strong></div><p>Five months after giving birth to Baby Sylvio, Angeline her non-showbiz fiancé Nonrev Daquina had their firstborn baptized last June. </p><p>It was indeed star-studded, as the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/asap" target="_blank"><u><strong>ASAP Natin ‘To</strong></u></a> mainstay invited some of her celebrity friends, which included ABS-CBN Head of TV Production and Star Magic Head Direk Laurenti Dyogi, Head of Dreamscape Entertainment Deo Endrinal, ABS-CBN Music Creative Director Jonathan Manalo, ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Vice Ganda, Richard Yap, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos, Bugoy Drilon, PJ Endrinal, K Brosas, Dra. Vicky Belo, and Hayden Kho.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Dimples Romana</strong></div><p>While we’re looking forward to Baby Elio’s baptism, let’s go back first to the christening of the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/viralscandal" target="_blank"><u><strong>Viral Scandal</strong></u></a> actress and husband Boyet Ahmee’s first son Alonzo in 2015.  It was also star-studded, as Alonzo’s godparents include Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Angel Locsin, and Julia Montes.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Anne Curtis</strong></div><p>After being a ninang to her friends’ babies for quite some time, the time has come for the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank"><u><strong>It’s Showtime</strong></u></a> host to tap them to be the godparents of her and husband Erwan Heusaff’s adorable daughter Dahlia Amelie when they had her baptized last March. They coincided it with her second birthday, which was held at an outdoor venue decked with pink flowers, while the happy family of three was dressed in crisp white outfits. </p><div> </div><div><strong>John Prats</strong></div><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/angprobinsyano" target="_blank"><u><strong>FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano</strong></u></a> actor-director and wife Isabel Oli have always been proud to share their family’s milestones through the years on social media, from their engagement up to their children’s christenings. </p><p>In June 2016, they welcomed their firstborn Feather to the Christian world. Three years after, it was their second child Freedom’s turned to be dedicated through a Christian ceremony. Their bunso Forest got baptized in February 2021, on the same day that John celebrated his 37th birthday. These occasions were attended by some of the family and close friends in-and-out of showbiz.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Richard Gutierrez</strong></div><p>The star of the upcoming series Iron Heart and his wife Sarah Lahbati held the baptism of their sons at the same as their first birthdays. </p><p>Their first son Zion had a safari-themed party in 2014, while their second Kai had an ocean-themed celebration in June 2019. Making it more delighting is that these dates also coincided with Father’s Day! Like hitting not just two, but three birds with one stone, right?</p><div> </div><div><strong>Judy Ann Santos</strong></div><p>Just two months after welcoming their youngest child Luna, Juday and her husband Ryan Agoncillo immediately had her baptized when she was two months old in March 2016. The private event was attended by some of Judy Ann’s closest showbiz friends, including Jolina Magdangal and Gladys Reyes. Their other two children, Yohan and Lucho were also present during the church ceremony.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Bianca Gonzalez</strong></div><p>The Pinoy Big Brother host and husband JC Intal also had their firstborn Lucia christened when she was only two months old back in December 2015. Four years after, their second daughter Carmen was baptized in March 2019, on the same day as Bianca’s 36th birthday. They were all dressed in white, with Lucia looking extra cute with a unicorn headband.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Isabelle Daza</strong></div><p>Three years after Isabelle and French husband Adrien Semblat’s rustic wedding in France, they also had their first child Balthazar christened there “to share milestones with his French family” in January 2019.</p><p>Another three years gone by and it was their second son Valentin who they welcomed to the Christian world last March. In one of her Instagram stories, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/2good2betrue" target="_blank"><u><strong>2 Good 2 Be True</strong></u></a> actress revealed that their bunso was actually wearing her repurposed old baptism gown from many decades ago.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Melai Cantiveros</strong></div><p>From the very first time they crossed paths inside the PBB house up to now that they’re raising their two vivacious girls who both love chicken nuggets, Melai and Jason have been generous in sharing to us a glimpse of their family milestone since they got married in 2013.</p><p>They had their first daughter Mela in 2014, and had her baptized as well that same year. Among the popular personalities present in the event was their <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/bananasundae" target="_blank"><u><strong>Banana Sundae</strong></u></a> castmate Angelica Panganiban and their PBB ex-housemate Paul Jake Castillo’s wife Kaye Abad. Meanwhile, their second daughter Stela got christened in August 2017.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Jolina Magdangal</strong></div><p>After having a hippie and roadtrip-themed prenuptial shoot in 2011, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank"><u><strong>Magandang Buhay</strong></u></a> host and her husband Mark Escueta celebrated their son Pele’s first birthday and christening with a picnic-inspired party. She wrote on Instagram, “Itong baby na ito ang dahilan kung bakit nakumpleto nang husto ang puso naming mag-asawa.”</p><div> </div><div><strong>Sofia Andres</strong></div><p>A few months after giving birth to Baby Zoe in February 2020, and a few days after revealing that they are already parents, Sofia and partner Daniel Miranda welcomed her to the Christian world in June 2020.  The intimate party was attended by a few of their family and close friends, like her real-life friend Kathryn Bernardo who was among the godparents.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Empress Schuck</strong></div><p>Five years prior to walking down the aisle last year, Empress and husband Vino Guingona had their unica hija Athalia christened back in 2016. The occasion was held months after the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/tbmv2022" target="_blank"><u><strong>The Broken Marriage Vow</strong></u></a> actress gave birth to her in September 2015.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Elisse Joson</strong></div><p>A few months after ‘fessing up about already having a baby together during an episode of PBB in 2021, Elisse and McCoy de Leon had their Baby Felize baptized at 10 months old. The small and simple celebration was attended by a limited number of people only, including Elisse’s Sofia Andres and her daughter Zoe.</p><div> </div><div><strong>JC De Vera</strong></div><p>Before having their dream church wedding last year, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/foe2022" target="_blank"><u><strong>Flower Of Evil</strong></u></a> actor and wife Rikkah first welcomed their daughter Lana Athena to the Christian world in June 2018. The private ceremony was attended by close family and friends, including JC’s <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/bananasundae" target="_blank"><u><strong>Banana Sundae</strong></u></a> castmates John Prats and Pooh, as well as actress Nadia Montenegro.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Andi Eigenmann</strong></div><p>Despite being held at church, we’re still able to feel the tropical vibe during the baptism of Andi and fiancé Philmar Alipayo’s daughter Lilo in February 2020, just two months after being born.  The intimate ceremony was attended by their few family and friends, was held in Siargao where their family is based. The actress’ firstborn Ellie was also there to witness her little sister’s momentous milestone. </p><div> </div><div><strong>Chito Miranda</strong></div><p>After getting busy with his stint as judge and mentor of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/idolphilippines2022" target="_blank"><u><strong>Idol Philippines Season 2</strong></u></a>, he and wife Neri Naig had their youngest son Cash baptized early this month. The solemn ceremony was followed by a colorful picnic-themed party to celebrate his first birthday, which was held at posh events place situated near Taal Volcano in Tagaytay City.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Desiree del Valle</strong></div><p>Since she’d waited for decades to have a child of her own, the actress seemingly made sure that she and husband Boom Labrusca would make their son Alexander’s life milestones extra special. They recently celebrated his christening and first birthday not just once, but twice! They first had a huge party that was attended by a few of their family and friends, such as Maricel Soriano, Direk Laurenti Dyogi, Tetchie Agbayani, Jolina Magdangal, Charlie Dizon, and Cheska Iñigo. A few days after, they had smaller celebration with just the three of them and Desiree’s beloved Mommy Lourdes by going on a trip to Pangasinan and Baguio City.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Meryll Soriano</strong></div><p>Around a year after giving birth to their son Gido, Meryll and actor Joem Bascon welcomed him to the Christian world in December 2021. The ever-fashionable couple graced the event in couple OOTDs, as both of them wore crisp white long-sleeved button-up shirts, rugged jeans, and black shoes. The actress’ aunt Diamond Star Maricel Soriano was also present on the special day.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Riva Quenery</strong></div><p>The former <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank"><u><strong>It’s Showtime</strong></u></a> GirlTrends member and her boyfriend Vern Ong were indeed a picture of happy young parents during the baptism of their daughter Athena Rae last April. It was indeed star-studded as her “The House Arrest of Us” castmates Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Alora Sasam, and Arlene Muhlach were there, as well as one of her showbiz besties Awra Briguela. </p><p>These babies maybe too young to remember this momentous milestone, but these photographs will remind them someday that a lot of people, especially their families, love them so much!</p>
