Ardent fans of James Reid were surely delighted when he finally made his much-awaited comeback to ABS-CBN! Over the past weekends, he made his admirers truly kilig and exhilarated as he returned to the stages of ASAP and It’s Showtime,” in which he had swooning performances and amusing exchanges with everyone he initially got to work with in the past.

This is considered his homecoming since he started out in the industry as a Kapamilya. It can be recalled that he was among the notable housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash 2010” and finished as the Big Winner of their batch. However, despite being in show business for more than a decade, not to mention one of the most well-loved and popular artists of his generation, not much is still known about him.

Aside from being a talented heartthrob who captured many hearts through his teleserye and movie portrayals, such as in the hit 2015 series “On The Wings of Love” and in the 2018 flick “Never Not Love You,” as well as through his songs like the trending “Randomantic,” there are definitely still more things about him that not a lot of people know.

First, his real first name is “Robert,” since his Filipino full name is Robert James Marquinez Reid. He was born in Sydney, Australia, on May 11, 1993, to an English-Australian dad, Robert Malcolm Reid, and a Filipino mother, Maria Aprilyn Marquinez.

We may not see it on his Instagram posts, but James bared that he is actually a cat person and loves riding motorcycle, giving us a glimpse of both his facets as a laidback and adventuresome person.

Since there’s an old adage that says, “A way to man’s heart is through his stomach,” know that his favorite is Japanese food. We wonder which of the delectable Japanese dishes is at the top of his list.

And lastly, with all the career milestones that he has already achieved in his almost 15 years in showbiz, we would like to think that apart from his singing and acting skills, his 11 toenails have been one of his lucky charms.
