In a recent episode of Kapamilya Chat, actors Christian Bables and Jay Gonzaga took center stage to discuss their upcoming film, “Broken Hearts Trip,” an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in their journey through 2023. Apart from this movie, Christian also considers “Dirty Linen” one of the highlights of his 2023, while Jay is grateful for his big and small wins and projects this year.

Delving into the emotional depth of the film, they teased about the “hugots” that audiences can expect, promising a rollercoaster of feelings. In keeping with the movie’s theme about the intricacies of love and moving on, the actors shared their personal coping mechanisms for heartbreak. Jay disclosed his preference for solitude in the mountains, finding solace in the serene surroundings. He added that going to the gym makes him feel better, too. Christian, on the other hand, emphasized returning to his core, his family, to mend a broken heart.

Christian then offered a sage advice to those dealing with a broken heart, emphasizing the need of allowing oneself to feel the pain. He imparted, “Pain is meant to be felt. Hayaan mo lang ‘yung sarili mong masaktan. Kung nasaan ka ngayon, that’s exactly where you should be. Just like any season, dadaanan mo lang ‘yan.”

When asked to define love, Christian described it as universal, a force that transcends boundaries, “You can find it kahit saan, kahit sino ang kaharap mo.” Meanwhile, Jay added a touch of realism, acknowledging love’s painful aspects but highlighting the unparalleled joy it brings when genuinely felt.
