Gillian Vicencio is one young woman who embodies wisdom and strength. The first question revolved around friendship breakup. This didn’t resonate with her, though. “’Yung mga long-time friends ko, kahit hindi ko sila nakakausap, may connection pa rin naman.” She’s a low-maintenance friend and she isn’t the type to burn bridges. The closest thing to that is taking a break from a toxic friend to protect her peace.She shared that she used to feel pressured to get into a relationship during high school, as most of her friends are. But that’s not the case now. She’s perfectly fine with being single and she’s even supportive of her friends’ relationships. “Basta masaya kayo, masaya na rin ako,” she smiled.Though she enjoys being an actress, Gillian admitted that she goes through career crisis at times. “Masaya ako sa ginagawa ko. Masaya ako na umaarte. Masaya ako na nashe-share ko ‘yung mga characters na ginagawa ko to other people. Pero, parang, naniniwala ako sa career crisis pati sa midlife crisis,” she opened up.When she met with her high school friends just recently, she asked them if they remember her ambition back in the day, and they told her that she wanted to become a chef. Who knows? She might pursue this dream one day. “’Yung mga gusto natin, I think natutulog lang siya, hindi siya nawawala. ‘Pag nag-start ka na gawin ulit ‘yun, magkakaroon ulit siya ng fire.”Asked how she deals with stress, Gillian, who juggles work and schooling, shared that staying home and talking to her family is her favorite stress reliever.To cap it off, Gillian shared this piece of advice to her fellow students: “Go lang nang go, guys! May reward din. Makikita natin ‘yung reward ng hard work natin.” She imparted that her dad always tells her to keep the faith.
