<p>As we all know, Wonder Woman is among the most popular and well-loved fictional superheroes all around the world, especially by comic book and superhero movie enthusiasts. But here in the Philippines, it’s arguably her Filipina counterpart Darna.</p><p>Both of them may be non-existent in real life, or just a figment of the wild imaginations of their respective prolific creators, yet they have served as inspiration and role model to all of us, regardless of gender. Thus, films and series featuring their adventures were made through the years, and their iconic costumes were even worn by different people in various occasions.</p><p>Just like the pretty female celebrities listed in this Kapamilya Snaps feature who delighted us with their transformations into the aforementioned femme fatales!</p><div><strong>Kathryn Bernardo channeled the inner Wonder Woman in her twice!</strong></div><p>As a self-confessed fangirl of modern-day Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, Kathryn was surely stoked when she was given the opportunity to wear the costume similar to what we saw in the movie for an <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/asap"><em><strong><u>ASAP</u></strong><u> <strong>Natin ‘To</strong></u></em></a> performance in 2019. However, it was not the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/2good2betrue"><em><strong><u>2 Good 2 Be True</u></strong></em></a> star’s first time to transform into the renowned superheroine as she already wore a different version of it for an episode of <strong><u><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit"><em>Goin’ Bulilit</em></a>.</u></strong></p><div> </div><div><strong>Sarah Geronimo gave a darker twist on the famous Amazonian’s multicolored suit</strong></div><p>In 2017, Sarah did not just blow our minds with her awesome rendition of Beyonce’s hit track “Formation” for an ASAP production number, but with how she sang and danced to it while cladded in the black version of Wonder Woman’s multicolored suit.  Powerful, indeed, our Popstar Royalty!</p><div> </div><div><strong>Pia Wurtzbach was ready to the world, the universe rather, as Wonder Woman</strong></div><p>For Halloween 2019, Pia made our jaws drop when she suited up as the adored DC Comics superheroine, sans the weapons, during her trip to Germany. Delighted by her transformation, the beauty queen treated her followers with photos of her in that custom-made costume.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Anne Curtis brought good vibes to It’s Showtime as Wonder  Woman</strong></div><p>She may have already worn different costumes for the mythological characters she depicted both in TV and movies, but the Wonder Woman ensemble she donned for <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a> in 2012 is still among our favorites!</p><div> </div><div><strong>Barbie Imperial donned the classic Wonder Woman ensemble for Halloween 2018</strong></div><p>Barbie sported the classic Wonder Woman costume for Halloween 2018, which was comprised by a red with gold details bodice, gold belt, bikini style blue briefs with white stars, a pair of knee-high boots in red and gold, gold cuffs and headdress, and a red silk cape. Barbie captioned her picture: “She needed a hero. So that’s what she became”.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Heaven Peralejo attended the Star Magic Black Magic event as Wonder Woman</strong></div><p>In 2019, Heaven graced the Star Magic Black Magic Halloween party wearing a suit similar to what Gal Gadot wore in the movie. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/afamilyaffair"><em><strong><u>A Family Affair</u></strong></em></a> actress made sure to complete the look by coming fully-equipped, complete with the Lasso of Truth, the Sword of Athena, and the first Amazonian shield.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Vicki Belo and daughter Scarlet looked so cute in their twinning Wonder Woman costumes</strong></div><p>This well-loved mother-and-daughter tandem indeed never fails to delight us with their twinning moments every time we see them together on social media or in their vlogs. And in 2020, even the pandemic wasn’t able to stop them from dressing up as Wonder Woman. Scarlet was a sword-and-shield-wielding Amazonian, while her Mommy Vicki strutted in the upgraded golden winged armor.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Kim Chiu dressed us Darna for an ASAP production number in 2013</strong></div><p>In 2013, Kim was among the five Kapamilya actresses who set the <strong>ASAP 18</strong> stage ablaze with a fantastic production number while they were all cladded in the iconic Darna costume. Joining the Chinita Princess in the special edition of the ASAP Supahdance segment were Shaina Magdayao, Empress Schuck, Iya Villania, and Cristine Reyes.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Jessy Mendiola already dazzled us as the two superheroines</strong></div><p>In the past years, Jessy has already channeled both the Wonder Woman and Darna in her as she had the chance to depict them in different occasions. She truly sizzled in the white, red, and gold Darna costume she wore for a production number she did on the ABS-CBN comedy program <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/bananasundae"><em><strong><u>Banana Sundae</u></strong></em></a> in 2016, alongside co-stars Sunshine Garcia and Aiko Climaco.</p><p>Later that year, she went on to wow us in a modern Wonder Woman costume for another dance number she did with Sunshine and Jason Gainza.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Andrea Brillantes cosplayed Darna when she was still a kid</strong></div><p>Just like many girls out there, Andrea also dreams of becoming Darna, too! In fact, Andrea once dressed up as the Pinay superhero when she was still a kid and posted it in 2019 as her way of congratulating Jane de Leon for being chosen as this generation’s Darna.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Sarina Hilario is definitely the cutest Darna we’ve ever seen!</strong></div><p>Last, but definitely not the least, is Baby Sarina – the adorable firstborn of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a> host Jhong Hilario with non-showbiz partner Maia.
