Kapamilya Snaps: Dreamy beach weddings of celebrities that we’d witnessed through the years

<p>As we all know, the Philippines is famous worldwide for its scenic beaches, making them among the top destinations for local and foreign tourists who are looking for nice and relaxing places to spend their vacations in. At the same time, many also consider the powdery sand, crystal clear waters, and, sometimes, even the lovely sunset view of our beaches as the perfect venue for their momentous, romantic nuptials.</p><p>And through the years, some of our favorite celebrities chose to exchange “I Dos” by the beach, just like the ones featured in this edition of Kapamilya Snaps, who’ll probably make you dream of having a beach wedding, too!</p><div> </div><div><strong>Angelica Panganiban and Gregg Homan</strong></div><p>Let’s begin with the most recent one, which is of Angelica and non-showbiz husband Gregg, who had their second wedding at the paradise island of Siargao last April 20. It was indeed star-studded, with her closest friends Bela Padilla, Kim Chiu, Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Glaiza de Castro, Ketchup Eusebio, Maris Racal, Maxine Magalona, John Prats, Anne Curtis, Agot Isidro, Cherry Pie Picache, Director Andoy Ranay, Alora Sasam, and ABS-CBN executives Carlo L. Katigbak and Cory V. Vidanes being among the attendees. Of course, their <em>unica hija</em> Amila Sabine was also part of the entourage as their adorable flower girl.</p><p>It was indeed an unforgettable, heartwarming, fun, and restful weekend for everyone from the welcome party down to the reception, based on the photos and clips shared by the actress and the attendees on social media. The beach wedding was held more than three months after they first tied the knot through an intimate ceremony held in California on December 31, 2023.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola</strong></div><p>Three years after their intimate civil wedding held at a private resort in Lipa City, Batangas in February 2021 which they initially kept as a secret, Luis and Jessy finally had their dream church wedding come true in Palawan last February. It was so intimate that only their closest friends and immediate relatives, including Luis’ parents Vilma Santos-Recto and Edu Manzano and hers as well, were invited to witness their union the second time around based on the few photos and vlogs uploaded by the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/icsyv" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>I Can See Your Voice</u></strong></em></a> host and the actress on social media and YouTube. Making the celebration extra lovely was the presence of their cuddly ball of sunshine Isabella Rose.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle</strong></div><p>After six years of dating and one year of being engaged, Iza and her husband Ben finally exchanged “I dos” on December 19, 2018, through a romantic and intimate beach wedding at a resort in Coron, Palawan. Aside from holding it during the sunset and having the picturesque seascape as their backdrop, what made the vibe extra ethereal were the flowers and ornamental plants that bedecked the venue.</p><p>Now, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/darna" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Mars Ravelo’s Darna</u></strong></em></a> star and her beloved husband are proud and happy parents to their adorable <em>unica hija</em> Deia Amihan, who just turned 1 last January.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Bianca Gonzalez and JC Intal</strong></div><p>It was also in Palawan where Bianca and husband JC had their simple and intimate beach wedding almost 10 years ago in December 2014, but in the gorgeous island of Lagen Island in El Nido. Since they weren’t able to invite all their loved ones and friends to their nuptials, they decided to organize a huge wedding party at the Araneta Coliseum a few days later.</p><p>At present, both of them continue to thrive in their respective careers while also being hands-on parents to their daughters Lucia and Carmen.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Zeus Collins and Pauline Redondo</strong></div><p>Another star-studded wedding that we witnessed in 2023 was of Zeus and his non-showbiz wife Pauline. The beach ceremony, which was held at a beautiful resort in San Antonio, Zambales in December, was attended by celebrity guests, such as Vice Ganda, Ion Perez, as well as the groom’s fellow Hashtag members and their girlfriends who have also become friends with him and her blushing bride. </p><p>In her Instagram post, Pauline thanked Zeus for the awe-inspiring wedding, which she described as “all I ever wanted and all I ever dreamed of.”</p><div> </div><div><strong>Ritz Azul and Allan Guy</strong></div><p>For Ritz and her non-showbiz husband Allan, one wedding was apparently not enough as they had two in December 2021. They first exchanged vows in Baguio City, then had their second ceremony in Palawan. The actress couldn’t be any happier as they got to tie the knot at her dream destination and on their dream wedding date, which was December 11, 2021.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey</strong></div><p>And lastly, not to mention the odd one out in this list, is the intimate and serene beach wedding of Pia with businessman-husband Jeremy on March 24, 2023, which took place at the picturesque and private North Island in Seychelles. However, they only got to share the good news two months later by sharing a video clip of the ceremony on their respective IG Stories and Reels, much to everyone’s surprise.</p><p>Even though the happy jetsetter couple decided to get hitched outside the country, it can be recalled that their engagement happened during their getaway in Amanpulo, Palawan in May 2022.</p><p>Indeed, these celebrities make the beach look like the most romantic place in the world!</p>
