We all know Jodi Sta. Maria as one of the prime actresses in the country, who astounded us with her notable portrayals both in television and movies that brought her recognitions and awards from various award-giving bodies.

But aside from that, she’s also admired for being a great mom to her unico hijo Thirdy and a doting furmom to her adopted cat Naia. Moreover, she has also inspired a lot of women out there, especially working mothers like her, that it would never be too late to pursue their dreams as she got to finish her degree in Psychology (with flying colors!) in 2021 at the age of 39, as well as explore the world in recent years!

Those who are following her on social media surely know how she is such an adventurous soul! In a span of two years, she was able to fly to different parts of the world, which allowed her to experience different cultures, meet new people, and create priceless along the way whether she’s with her loved ones or alone.

And in this Kapamilya Snaps feature, let Jodi inspire us to conquer the world as we look back to her unforgettable travels to the following countries that she has visited so far!

As of this writing, the latest destination she posted on IG is Switzerland, wherein she got to roam around some of its scenic tourist spots and aesthetic nooks. We can relate with the caption she wrote, “Let’s travel light so we can travel far”.

Prior to this, Jodi commenced December by sharing a few pics from her trip to the “Happiest place on Earth with my favorite people.” Even though she enjoyed it, she couldn’t help but miss her son Thirdy who, apparently, wasn’t able to join them.

Last November, she gave us glimpses of her trips to Malta and Italy by uploading several snaps and attaching short anecdotes and nuggets of wisdom to each carousel. For her Malta stop, she related her top 10 reasons why it’s worth visiting and declared, “Malta is one of the safest places in the world to visit for solo female travelers like myself.” Meanwhile, in another post, she praised Italy’s enchanting streets, art, culture, and food.

She also began November by going to Singapore with some of the beloved people in her life, including Thirdy, wherein they got to enjoy the theme parks and visit a museum.

To mark her 41st birthday last June, Jodi reminded us to “Wander often. Wonder always. Life is a beautiful adventure” as she shared pictures of her and Thirdy during their trip to Central Asia. Their first stop was Kazakhstan, where they got to experience being nomadic eagle hunters complete with costumes.

They then dropped by Kyrgyzstan, wherein they embarked on the Silk Road tour. She captioned the set of photos captured there, “There is no time to be bored in a world as beautiful as this.”

It was in Uzbekistan where she officially turned 41. She wrote, “Vacationing with my favorite travel buddy. May our adventures bring us closer together. I love you anak.”

In 2022, it can be recalled that Jodi also did the same for her 40th birthday as she traveled to three European countries, also with her one and only “Muy” (her nickname for Thirdy). Believing that it was “time for another adventure with my travel buddy”, they began their trip by going to Amsterdam, Netherlands first. Aside from roaming around the picturesque they also got to try wearing the country’s traditional costume for a photoshoot.

The mother-and-son duo then went on a Danube River cruise while in Hungary, and then celebrated her 40th birthday in the Czech Republic. She shared her reflection regarding this milestone by writing in the caption of one of her posts, “As I cross the mid-point of my life, it’s grounded me in new ways. Had to learn and unlearn certain things. Love and let go of situations and people. Ignore noises and live a life that’s empowering to me. Stay calm and realize it’s okay not to have everything figured out. Consciously remind myself to be grateful in every situation and cast my cares on the Lord. Thank You Lord for the gift of life.”

It was also in July of last year when she and Thirdy went to United Arab Emirates (UAE), wherein she got to drink a cup of cappuccino sprinkled with 24-carat gold flakes, ride a helicopter, and explore the Museum of the Future.

And early this 2023, Jodi didn’t just have one, but two spontaneous travels. The first one was in February, when she spent four days in Vietnam, which according to her was “sobrang bitin” since there’s so much more to see and do there. She explored its capital of Hanoi, visited a pearl farm, hopped on a relaxing two-day cruise along Ha Long Bay, went caving to Sung Sot Cave, and swung by pagodas, temples and the St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Of course, eating local food would definitely never be out of the itinerary.

It was followed by her random trip to Madrid, Spain, which was only a two-hour plane ride from Milan, Italy where she was filming a project last March. She chronicled her one-day sojourn there in an IG post and wrote in the caption, “Tired feet, full tummy, and happy heart. That’s how I’ll describe my 24-hr trip to Spain. Some of the moments I live for.”

Has Jodi also inspired you to “work hard, travel harder”, too? Which of these countries do you wish to visit as well, Kapamilya?
