KD Estrada, Eian Rances take on “Jojowain or Trotropahin” Challenge

A few weeks after their return to the outside world, DJ Jhai Ho caught up with Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 Celebrity Edition ex-housemates KD Estrada and Eian Rances in the latest episode of ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Hotspot to talk about their memorable moments in the reality show and amuse us with their responses as they take on the “Jojowain or Trotropahin Challenge”.

The interview commenced with a fun kumustahan, wherein the host asked how their lives have been ever since they went out of the house. Eian imparted that he got overwhelmed at first, especially because he didn’t know that his tandem with former housemate Alexa Ilacad would garner a huge throng of supporters. But he’s able to adjust already. KD, on the other hand, is happy, yet he confessed that there’s a part of him that wanted to go out prior his eviction since he felt that he had already fulfilled his mission inside the house.

With regards to their reaction upon receiving the good news that he’ll be part of PBB, the “The Striving Streamer of Quezon” recalled that he was actually shocked with how fast-paced everything was from his auditions up to his callback, but it was suddenly replaced with excitement and joy to meet new friends. Meanwhile, the “The Musical Wonderboy of Parañaque City” shared that although he was excited, he was actually having second thoughts. But he just thought of it as a milestone since not everyone is given this kind of opportunity.

Since they had to undergo weeks of quarantine before they’re able to enter the house in adherence to the safety protocols set by the government, Eian revealed that he felt extreme sadness and boredom while staying in his hotel room because they’re not allowed to talk to other people nor use any phone. Thus, the first thing that came into his mind on his first day was, “sa wakas, nalampasan ko ang quarantine!”

Even though all of them were celebrities, it was inevitable for them to still get starstruck with their housemates. For KD, it was Alyssa Valdez, Samantha Bernardo, and Alexa Ilacad; while it was the volleyball superstar and the singer-actress, too, for Eian. KD also confessed being initially intimidated with Alexa because of her intense aura, while Eian felt the same towards Albie Casiño and John Adajar until he found out that they’re actually fun to be with.

Aside from Kuya, their housemates had also imparted valuable words of wisdom to them while inside the house. KD appreciated it when Kyle reminded him to just do the things that make him happy and to just focus on herself first. Eian, meanwhile, is thankful to beauty queen Samantha Bernardo who told him a day before his eviction to be not afraid to trust again and learn to step up.

When asked how he handled the hatred he received from bashers, Eian told DJ Jhai Ho that his PBB stint taught him how to deal with those well, as he got to know himself deeper and was able to make amends with the housemates to whom he had misunderstandings with prior to getting kick out of the house.

“I respect kung ano ‘yong assessment ng ibang tao sa akin [o] ng mga nanonood kasi ‘yon ang napanood nila. Siguro malungkot lang din sa part ko is they judge me kung ano lang ‘yong napanood lang nila at narinig nila. Pero kasi noong nasa loob kami, iba kasi e. Iba ‘yong buong pinag-usapan, iba ‘yong buong nangyari,” he explained, saying that he has accepted it since it’s an inevitable part of the PBB journey. Nonetheless, he’s thankful for the ups and downs as those further strengthened their friendship.

Meanwhile, KD didn’t have any regret in admitting his feelings towards fellow The Squad Plus member-turned-housemate Anji Salvacion to whom he used to have a crush on, as he deemed it as a great opportunity to talk it out with her.

DJ Jhai Ho then asked them to describe their PBB experience in one word, to which Eian retorted “rollercoaster” as he cited how he really went through a lot of ups and downs, while it’s “growth” for KD because he noticed how his character developed so much.

As both of them are being shipped to Alexa Ilacad, the two guys revealed that they’re actually not talking about it. They then expressed their heartfelt message to their avid supporters and shared what their upcoming ganaps are. KD will be part of the iWantTFC Original Series alongside Francine Diaz, Albie Casiño, and BGYO member Akira Morishita, while Eian focuses on his KUMU streams and takes this as an opportunity to know his new friends and fans more.

Heading on to the “Jojowain o Trotropahin Challenge”, Eian and KD had to reveal whether they find Kapamilya stars shown by the host girlfriend material or they just want to befriend them. Their fun chikahan wrapped up with DJ Jhai Ho asking them why they deserve to be the one for Alexa. KD cited their similarities in a lot of things, making it easy for them to jive and communicate with one another. Eian, on the other hand, imparted that he’s already happy and grateful with what they have at present.
