Lyca Gairanod is all grown up but her bubbly personality remains unchanged. Kapamilya Chat had a great time catching up with the former <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/thevoicekids2023">The Voice Kids</a> champ as she was game to answer every question about her career and love life and take on some challenges.In this video, she played “Killer or Victim” where she must answer ‘killer’ if she’s guilty of the mentioned scenario or trait, otherwise victim. In the first round, she was asked if she is talkative to which she replied “killer.” Lyca described herself as “super daldal.” Though she could talk for hours, she’d rather wait for her friends to approach her first.She’s not guilty of buying luxury items because she’s now “matipid” and she only buys cheaper stuff. “Gusto ko ‘yung mga tig-150 pesos lang. Mas gusto ko ‘yung mga madali lang gamitin.” She only gets expensive items as gifts from friends.Therefore, she answered “killer” when asked if she’s money conscious. The younger Lyca had bad spending habits trying to keep up with trends or things she sees with her peers. But, the Lyca now is thrifty and careful, “Iba na ‘yung needs sa wants… ‘Yung pera, dapat pinag-iisipan ‘yan kasi madaling maubos ‘yan. Dapat tipid-tipid.”Thanks to this game, we also learned that Lyca is a homebody, especially with the kind of weather we have. She’d rather stay indoors and watch videos and series.She’s not a people-pleaser. When she sees negative comments about her on social media, she’d rather ignore than engage. Sometimes, though, she replies with jokes. “Tinatawanan ko lang po. Bahala sila. Sila ‘yun, eh. Wala naman tayong magagawa sa mga opinion nila. Alam ko naman kung ano ‘yung totoo sa sarili ko.”The 18-year-old artist is now in a romantic relationship – and she revealed their love story here. Lyca met her boyfriend on TikTok when she saw his relatable, sad POV video and left a comment. “Hindi ko naman po siya kilala no’n. Naka-relate lang po talaga ako,” she said. Nag-comment ako ng ‘sad’. Hindi ko naman alam na magiging happy ang life.”The guy replied with only an emoji, so she thought of him as ‘suplado.’ Two days later, he reached out to her by sending her a virtual wave; they chatted and fell in love.She described her relationship as “super saya” and she’s thankful that her boyfriend inspires her to be better and cheers her up whenever people push her down.” Thank you and super happy ko kasi ikaw yung nakilala ko and ikaw yung tumutulong sa akin para maging proud pa ako lalo sa sarili ko. Super happy ako,” she said as message to her special someone.
