Michael Flores and Marnie Lapus revealed what it is like working with Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi and behind-the-scenes facts about their MMFF 2022 entry “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/look-partners-in-crime-publicity-photos-16053" target="_blank">Partners In Crime</a>.”With everything we have been through since the pandemic, we all deserve a ton of good vibes, that’s what Michael and Marnie said in this episode of Kapamilya Chat, as they promote the comedy film “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/look-partners-in-crime-publicity-photos-16053" target="_blank">Partners In Crime</a>.”The movie stars Vice and Ivana, based on the trailer, as best friends-turned-rivals. When the competition toughens, that’s when Michael and Marnie and a lot more characters enter.With Vice on set, it sure feels like a riot each time. Michael mentioned the first time he worked with Vice was via “The Revenger’s Squad,” which was part of MMFF 2018. Nothing’s changed about Vice’s attitude as a co-star and his greatness as a comedian.Meanwhile, it’s their first time working with vlogger and drama actress Ivana. Admittedly, things were awkward at first but they eventually discovered her ‘crazy’ side. One of the best things about Ivana, according to Michael, is her eagerness to learn more about comedy and certainly, she has picked up a lot from Vice.Even Director Cathy Garcia-Molina, they said, consults Vice about some scenes. Michael shared he was excited to see Direk Cathy create a riot comedy film since her repertoire is mostly romance dramas or rom-coms like their first project together, the Kapamilya series “Forevermore.”Comedy is indeed a skill, even more challenging than drama because it requires perfect timing, pressed Marnie. “Okay, nabitaw mo ‘yung linya mo, maganda ‘yung pagbitaw mo. Pero hindi lang ‘yun ang importante kapag comedy lalo na kung may action.”Michael and Marnie then invited viewers to support “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/look-partners-in-crime-publicity-photos-16053" target="_blank">Partners In Crime</a>.” and all the other entries in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, with the promise to give moviegoers good vibes.
