We have certainly witnessed a number of magic performances in various talent programs that we’ve seen through the years. And every performer makes sure to do something different that would make them stand out. Just like Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6 contestant Jepthan Callitong, who incorporated humor in his magic tricks.

During his auditions in 2018, he immediately wowed judge Vice Ganda when he emerged on the stage with no shades, then suddenly had one as he reached the center. He went on to perform typical close-up tricks to exhibit his impressive sleight of hand. He made his coin prop disappear and reappear with the help of the judges, as well as correctly guessed the playing cards chosen by Angel Locsin and Freddie M. Garcia.

He also scared the Unkabogable Star when he gave her a glimpse of his little assistant hiding between the palm of his hands, who helped him successfully execute his coin trick.

But more than his impressive magic tricks, it was Jepthan’s comedic timing that made his performance stand out. Besides, his catchphrase "wow, magic,” with matching hand gestures, had endeared him not just to the jurors, but to the audiences as well. He repeated it enough, which had the judges saying it as well while he was demonstrating his magic tricks.

Since he was able to win over the judges with his amusing performance, Jepthan eventually got all the four nods he needed to proceed to the semifinals round of the Pilipinas Got Talent.
