We have surely seen a lot of magic performances throughout the six seasons of Pilipinas Got Talent. But avid viewers would certainly agree that the close-up magic showcase of Season 5 grand finalist Ody Sto. Domingo Season 5 was among the most standout and remarkable.The magician from Sta. Mesa, Manila commenced his showcase through a coin trick that made use of 5 and 10-peso coins and instructed Angel Locsin to write anything on the 5-peso coin to make it unique, then he did the same on the 10-peso coin. He told her to keep those inside her clenched right fist, then took out the 10-peso coin and put it on top of that hand. And in just one tap on the 10-peso coin, it automatically switched places with the 5-peso coin – much to the astonishment of the actress.He then demonstrated a mind-blowing card trick, tapping Robin Padilla as his volunteer. It started with Ody asking him to choose a card from the deck he spread out and keep a picture of it on his mind. He then returned the entire deck in its box and kept it in the inner pocket of his coat, only to pull out a deck of faceless cards from which Robin had to choose one that showed his card. And amazingly, the “Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema” got the card he initially picked, which was the queen of hearts.Angel, who disclosed that she had been trying to catch him, described his showcase “sobrang impressive talaga.” Robin also commended him by asking if he possessed any amulet and calling him “master of deception”.Vice Ganda then jestingly remarked that she wouldn’t want to play tong-its with him because he’s likely to get all the hits. Meanwhile, Freddie “FMG” M. Garcia commented, “You’re amazing.
