PieDu updates: Cherry Pie and Edu share how they navigate their new relationship

<p>Cherry Pie Picache and Edu Manzano gave us updates about their romance during their guesting on Luis Manzano’s vlog, and we collated their wise remarks about new relationships.</p><div> </div><div><strong>It all begins with self-love</strong></div><p>It’s only through feeling the love within you that you can be aware of your partner’s needs and be capable of providing them. As Edu put it, “We’re just beginning, eh. Everyday should be like an addition into the people that you are. You add on to each other but you also have to add on to yourself. Hindi mo siya mapapaligaya kung ikaw ay hindi ka maligaya. You both have to be individually happy, and then, when you’re together, it just makes it all so much better.”</p><div> </div><div><strong>Take things slow </strong></div><p>It helps reveal each other’s true colors – both the good and the bad. “I think we’re still at a stage wherein, siyempre bago pa, still getting to know each other. Habang tumatagal, nagkakaalaman na talaga ng ugali and then I’ll always tell your dad, as much as love is so nice to enjoy but it’s always a decision. Dapat lahat ‘yun tanggap through thick and thin. We’re working,” shared Cherry Pie.</p><p>Edu seconded, “Even until now, we&#x27;re still learning new things about each other.”</p><p>To recall, PieDu’s romance has been a long journey from dating two decades ago to being just friends and eventually feeling the spark all over again.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Reassure your partner</strong></div><p>Cherry Pie said she soothes Edu’s jealousy by telling him where she stands in her life, “Gusto niya ng assurance. Tapos hindi magsasalita ‘yan, mararamdaman mo na lang.”</p><p>Jessy Mendiola, who also joined the interview, admitted she was insecure until the second year of being married to Luis, “Kaya ako selosa noong first two years namin kasi ito, sweet talker, ang daming mga kaibigan na babae, ‘yung very out there…” But she eventually learned to be less jealous because “habang patagal-patagal ‘yung relationship, nand’un ‘yung security at assurance.”</p><div> </div><div><strong>Support each other through thick and thin </strong></div><p>Asked if she’d still choose Edu once he commits a relationship mistake, Cherry Pie answered, “Basta talagang ipaglalaban ko siya without a doubt.” Edu will also do the same, “I think ‘yan ang importante, kailangan you have to be there for each other.”</p><p>Cherry Pie and Edu added they appreciate the fans who wish them well in their relationship.
