<p>For comedian Negi, love is no joke. In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, he shared the most enlightening real talk about matters of the heart via “Susuko o Susubo” Challenge.</p><p>In this game, he would go through a list of common relationship dilemmas and gauge which ones are worth fighting for. While there are no definite rules in relationships, sometimes it’s good to hear advice from other people who have come to face some of the most complicated love scenarios themselves. That’s what we got from Negi, who answered “susuko” on the first question that tackled the toxicity of a controlling partner.</p><p>“Kahit mag-jowa kayo, irespeto mo pa rin ‘yung mga bagay na ginagawa niya,” he said respect is the most important value in a relationship and it&#x27;s the foundation of trust.</p><p>The importance of time comes next, according to Negi, who related it to all forms of love. “Kahit nga hindi mo jowa ‘yan, kahit kapatid mo ‘yan, nanay o tatay, napaka importante ng oras. But after thorough thinking, he settled for “susubo” or he’d continue to give the relationship a chance. “Wala nang libre sa mundo. Ang tanging libre na lang na maibibigay ng tao ay pagmamahal, so ibibigay ko ‘yung love na ‘yun. Lahat ng tao deserve maranasan na minamahal sila.”</p><p>There will be times when “intruders” will give unsolicited opinions about your relationship. The best way to resolve this, according to Negi, is to focus on your own happiness. “Susubo,” he explained, “Kasi hindi naman ‘yung maraming tao na ‘yun ang pakikisamahan mo. Negi has been there, fighting hard for a love that he wanted to work out so bad at the expense of his well-being. In the end, he dared to let go.</p><p>But that doesn’t also mean the pain is gone the moment you leave the relationship. Sometimes you need to go through the pain and questions. “Ang masakit doon, hindi naman ‘yung breakup, eh. Ang masakit, yung tanong na naging mabuting tao ka pero bakit ka ginanon? ‘Yung may tanong kang bakit.”</p><p>What if only the other person remains happy in the relationship while he isn’t anymore? In a situation like this, Negi believes that the best solution is to be honest. “Kung patatagalin n‘yo pa ‘yung ganu’ng scenario, mas magiging worse ang resuta.
