At present, there are three teleseryes that dominate our primetime viewing every weeknight – FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, The Iron Heart, and Dirty Linen. All of these series have never fallen short in providing us with quality entertainment in every episode, which showcase the impeccable and impressive acting prowess of the artists, the brilliance of its writers and directors, and fantastic skills and creativity of the whole production staff and crew.

However, just like in any field, the success of a certain project does not only stem from the great performances of the people comprising it, but from the strong bond and camaraderie formed among them throughout the process of completing their tasks or missions.

And apparently, the cast members of these primetime teleseryes do not only have the talent and chemistry on-screen, but lovely rapport off-screen as well, as seen in these behind-the-scene snaps and clips. Since fans cannot have direct access to the sets or lock-in tapings of these shows, we collated some of them in this Kapamilya Snaps feature!

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo

Loosely based on the 1986 action-comedy film of the same title, the action-drama series instantly captured the hearts of the viewers just on the pilot episode due to the action-packed and heavy drama scenes. It went on to become well-loved by the viewers not only because of the remarkable performances of the actors, but with how it perfectly captures the bustling and humble life in Quiapo, Manila, as well as the famous landmarks located in it.

And its success wouldn’t be possible without the unparalleled efforts, brilliant direction, and creative mind of its lead star and one of its directors Coco Martin, who has been hands-on and meticulous in helming every episode. Aside from his formidable work as an actor and director, his undeniable chemistry with actress and new loveteam partner Lovi Poe is also admired. These sweet behind the scenes snaps of the two are indeed special treat to fans.

While the mood onscreen has always been intense and fiery, it’s actually way different behind the camera. The cast members share laughter and lighthearted moments, as well as find time to rest and relax whenever the reels are not rolling or it’s not their turn to shoot a scene.

The Iron Heart

Ever since starting in November 2022, The Iron Heart has kept viewers at the edge of their seats with adrenaline-pumping fight scenes. The behind-the-scene snaps and clips we collected for this Kapamilya Snaps episode are proofs of how dedicated and determined the actors are in doing their own stunts, regardless of how difficult and exhausting it could be.

But in between the action scenes, the set transforms into a hang out spot for the cast. Aside from sharing stories and good laughs among their co-actors whenever it’s not their turn to shoot or they are taking a break from filming, some of the would even have bonding moments outside the set, such as actresses Dimples Romana and Sofia Andres who have “random momma dates.”

Since the entire series is shot in the picturesque and historic province of Cebu, the friendship formed among them has truly helped the actors kiss away the blues and homesickness they probably go through while being away from their families.

Dirty Linen

Just like the other two series in this feature, Dirty Linen has also captured the hearts of the viewers right on its pilot week because of its unique, courageous, and beautiful storytelling. And the snaps that we collated in this feature give us a glimpse of the hardwork and collaboration among the artists and the staff and crew that made it possible to produce this highly successful series.

The vibe onscreen may always be serious, heavy, and dark, but everything is actually lighthearted off-cam. While their characters Alexa, Olan, Max, and Lala – a.k.a. Team Resbak – are usually busy plotting and executing their plans against the Fiero family, it seems that the closeness among Janine Gutierrez, Joel Torre, Christian Bables, and Jennica Garcia extends in real life as they love to hang out together, especially the three young actors.

Even though their characters weren’t able to meet onscreen, but Janine still had the opportunity to bond with award-winning actress Dolly de Leon behind the camera.

The same goes to the to the teen stars of the series like Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Raven Rigor, and Sean Tristan who all love to spend time together during their breaks. Of course, the oldies didn’t let themselves be left behind from the fun happenings off-cam, such as seasoned character actor Rubi Rubi, or more popularly known as Manang Precious, who is so fond of creating TikTok videos with her co-stars, especially with her mates in the “Tsismak Department.”
