“Tara, G!” cast turns senti as they recount special memories in La Guerta

Team WISE Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma, JC Alcantara, Vivoree, CJ Salonga, Zach Castañeda and Daniela Stranner are leaving La Guerta – but they’re bringing with them good memories, lasting friendships, and lessons that have shaped their outlook in life.The “Tara, G!” finale episode will air via iWantTFC this Friday, December 9, and the cast members are currently dealing with finale blues. Saying ‘goodbye’ to La Guerta makes them ache a little, of course; it has been their home for months. But it’s the kind of nostalgia they don’t want to run away from. It’s the kind that comes with happy memories and pride to be part of a show that brought comfort, or even made a difference in the viewers’ lives and how they value friendships.“Parang ang bilis ng oras,” Kaori muses. They can’t believe they are down to their last episode. It was just like yesterday they started inviting fans to catch the series premiere and now they are busy promoting the finale. Zach was feeling homesick on the way to Manila after their last taping day. “From being with people to all of a sudden, you’re on your own sa room,” he said, adding that he will miss their veteran co-stars who were all loving, caring, and supportive to them.Anthony also shared what he will miss- the cold weather in Atok, food trips, and happy off-cam moments. JC said filming the series has been a great experience as he was able to relate to his character.Vivoree joked that she would have the “Tara, G!” poster framed, so they’d look at it with nostalgia when they grow old – that’s the level of bond they created from filming “Tara, G!” “Sobrang precious sa akin itong series na ‘to. Unmatched talaga yung vibes ng buong series. Sa location, story, lahat talaga swak. Parang ayaw ko siyang matapos talaga,” said Vivoree.The ‘barkada’ went on to share their takeaways from their characters. For Vivoree, who played Jengjeng, it’s all about taking things one step at a time. “Huwag magmadaling tumanda. Enjoy your youth. Enjoy the present. Enjoy kung ano’ng meron ka kasi that’s what you have right now.” She added that dwelling on the past is a waste of time. Don’t feel anxious about the future, too. You’ll get there anyway.For CJ, Smith reminds him the importance of getting a diploma, especially how it brings parents pride and joy, “Kasi ‘yun lang naman ang hihingin nilang sukli para sa lahat ng ginawa nila para sa mga anak nila.”Zach’s character as Will is the most selfless brother, and he wishes to carry that trait with him, “To be more helpless to the ones you want to help the most.” JC learned the value of loyalty and being a team player through his character as Dan.Kaori, who is usually scared to express her real emotions, learned from Legs: “Huwag kang pangunahan ng takot na sabihin kung ano ang gusto mong sabihin.” At the end of the day, you will find the right people to help you unload your emotions like how Team Wise is to Legs.Anthony thinks his character as Rocky always makes the best decisions in life, which is quite difficult when facing real situations. He knows he makes mistakes. But, at the end of the day, as Rocky taught him, he will navigate life using his heart as compass, “Piliin mo lang sigurong maging mabuting tao at dadalhin ka n’un sa mabubuting sitwasyon.”Asked their parting message to their characters, the squad expressed big dreams and pride and hoped they get to meet again soon, as Vivoree declared, “Sana hindi pa ito ‘yung huling pagkikita natin. Sana one day in the future we’ll meet again for Season 2, malay natin, ‘di ba?” They also thanked their characters for all the lessons they imparted through their journeys.Speaking of reunions, they were asked their dream destinations with the squad. Anthony chose El Nido, Palawan, or anywhere sunny to take a break from Atok’s cold weather. JC thought hiking in Sagada sounds fun, and so is ghost hunting in Atok according to Zach. The pretty Boholana Vivoree wishes to tour her friends in her hometown or maybe go hiking in Mt. Ulap to forget about their problems.
