Who would have thought that the person Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) has been dreading to see or hating the most would also be the one to save her from her predicaments? That’s exactly what happened to her in recent episodes of “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo" target="_blank">FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</a>,” as she crossed paths again with the man who sexually abused her many years ago and spawned a son named Jesus Nazareno, or Tanggol (Coco Martin).While Ramon (Christopher de Leon) may be perceived as wicked because of what he did to Marites and the nature of his family’s business, we got to also see his soft, sweet, and generous side with how he has been treating the woman he once did wrong. Thus, despite the unforgivable crime he committed, some viewers couldn’t help but be impressed by him and wish for Marites to finally leave her husband, Rigor (John Estrada), and go for Ramon.As we look forward to seeing how things between them will progress, let’s revisit how their unexpected reunion came to be and how it is going recently in this episode of Kapamilya Update.It all started when both of them decided to hide at an abandoned structure. Marites was able to escape from her kidnappers, while Ramon was running away from the members of Red Phoenix who wanted him dead. They were both stunned to see each other, and their ill-fated initial encounter at her house in Quiapo instantly flashed back to her.Realizing that she was in dire danger after her abductors were able to keep up with her, Ramon didn’t hesitate to help Marites escape. However, he was still apparently oblivious to her identity as he pointed his gun at her and asked her who she was. Before Marites was able to respond, the Red Phoenix riddled them with gunshots while aboard a barge, which left Ramon fatally wounded.Even though she was mad at him, Marites still rushed Ramon to the nearest clinic for him to be given first-aid treatment. A scorching row between them eventually ensued, as Marites wasn’t able to contain her wrath at him by slapping him hard and wrathfully ranting to him the repercussions of what happened between them many years ago. Marites further got infuriated after he told her that he had to do it for their lineage to continue and after he offered her monetary compensation.Since Marites didn’t accept his horrible offer, Ramon saw an opportunity to repay his debt of gratitude to her by paying up her hospital bills and other necessary stuff that she would need for her quick recuperation after being stabbed by his sister, Olga (Irma Adlawan). However, he initially chickened out from baring himself to her and her son, Santino (Ronwaldo Martin), on his first visit and vowed to help him in any way he could.The following day, Ramon finally mustered the courage to face her and confess that it was actually him who paid for everything as a way of showing his gratitude and compassion to her. Besides, he also wished to gain her forgiveness, which Marites was adamant to give since, according to her, the wound and pain that he had inflicted on her would never be healed, especially now that he’s back in her life.Will Marites eventually forgive Ramon, or is he just keeping his hopes up?
