FPJ’s Batang Quiapo tells us that true friendships grow during the most difficult seasons of life. It’s built on the values of loyalty and trust. Just take a look at how Chicky (Toni Fowler) stays by Mokang (Lovi Poe)’s side whenever the latter feels lost.

They show us that friends are family members you can choose. Growing up in the same neighborhood, they’re basically like sisters. Despite their differences, such as in values and principles, they remain solid and never did they judge each other’s choices.

Just like the rest of us, they share their own flavor of jokes and ‘asaran.’ But when the going gets tough, especially for Mokang who’s been soused in challenges these days, Chicky is always to the rescue. It was Chicky who helped plan Mokang’s debut party. And when Mokang lost her money to a snatcher, Chicky showed generosity without beings asked. Well, who needs words when you have a friend who can see your emotions through your tears?

People have so much to say about Chicky’s work as a club dancer, but when she offered Mokang the same job, we knew she only wanted to help her earn for her father’s hospitalization. She also chipped in for Marsing (Pen Medina)’s hospital bill.

Mokang might struggle to walk in heels, literally, but she can be sure that Chicky will walk with her.

Their friendship feels too real that we wonder how close Toni and Lovi are in real life. And we found the answer in these behind-the-scenes photos:

In the photo below, the girls took a selfie while working beyond midnight. Well, given the long work hours, it’s no surprise artists are able to form lasting bonds on the set.

It must be fun making friends in showbiz, as you get to enjoy your time together while waiting for the cameras to roll. And you get to hang out in different locations as part of the job. For instance, Lovi and Toni enjoyed filming along the streets of Divisoria for a series of scenes.

The FPJ’s Batang Quiap stars hit it off so well that a simple jeepney ride together becomes an enjoyable experience.

Joining them in their Divisoria shoot was Sophie Reyes, who plays Jill in the series.

In Toni’s vlog that chronicled her first taping day, she was caught in a ‘chika’ session with Lovi as if they’ve known each other for long. They even cried while watching a video of Toni’s dogs, which only shows their natural connection.
