Usually, antagonists are expected to be each other’s allies in defeating their enemies, right? However, in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, it is quite amusing to see two of its kontrabidas quarreling almost incessantly. And they’re none other than the arrogant and pretentious David and the scheming and vengeful Olga, compelling portrayed by talented heartthrob McCoy de Leon and veteran character actress Irma Adlawan.

As the happenings in the well-loved action-drama series continue to get intense and scorching, the tension between them also heightens. So, in this Kapamilya Update feature, let’s look back on some of their hottest ‘bardagulan’ moments.

Those who have been religiously watching the series would know that their being partners-in-crime started when Olga hired him to pose as the long-lost son of her brother Ramon (Christopher de Leon). It was after she found out that Tanggol, who murdered her unico hijo Greg (RK Bagatsing) in a bloody encounter, is also the Montenegsro heir that Ramon and Don Julio have been looking for. This is her way of exacting revenge against her family for taking her for granted, as well as avenging the death of her cherished son and making sure that Tanggol won’t experience the lush life that he’s supposed to have.

Just in the beginning of their partnership, Olga already tried to get a grip on David, starting with taking his phone number in order to contact him whenever he’s needed. But they were immediately hounded with a serious problem when they learned that Ramon would marry Mokang (Lovi Poe), their neighbor and love interest of his brother Tanggol (Coco Martin), which resulted in a rumpus between them as David nagged on Olga for not thinking ahead about it.

Although she hates her brother, Olga still cares for him. And we’re able to see that when she reprimanded David for calling Ramon “bobo” and telling him that he just did a good job in making him believe that he is his estranged son. She also got mad at him when he demanded that all the wealth of the Montenegros must be given to him as the heir and called him “gahaman” or greedy.

Olga wasn’t able to hide her exasperation with David when he arrogantly asked her to prepare the attire he was going to wear on the day that Ramon was about to introduce him to their investors and business partners as his heir.

Her frustration against him further intensified when he pulled off, once again, his “bait-baitan” acting in front of their guest as he refused to accept the position in their company that Ramon is offering to him, mentioning that it’s against the principles ingrained to him by his adoptive dad, who is a policeman. Unbeknown to her, it’s just a part of his grand plan of making Ramon believe that he is indeed his real son.

Are we going to see more of David and Olga’s ‘bardagulan’ moments in the upcoming episodes? Let’s see by not missing an episode of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, weeknights after TV Patrol on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
