One has ‘kapal ng mukha’ and the other is ‘palaban.’ So, who’s your fighter—Lena (Mercedes Cabral) or Roda (Joel Lamangan)?

Both are oozing with ‘main character’ energy, so it was inevitable that they would clash and become moral enemies when they ended up as ‘housemates’ in the Dimaguiba household. Admit it—we’re all entertained by Roda and Lena’s catfights and never-ending ‘parinigan’ or shade-throwing in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which Kapamilya Toplist compiled in this video.

Roda immediately locked horns with Lena on his very first night in the Dimaguiba house. Exhausted from a long day and just wanting to find a room to crash in, Roda opened a door only to see Lena inside. He shouted, “Ay! May jumper! May ilegal na kabit! Ayoko dito!” And just like that, mistresses got a new nickname, ‘jumper,’ inspired by ‘illegal’ power connections.

But Lena had the nerve to act like she was the legal wife making decisions at home, demanding that Roda cough up more rent. Poor Roda could only say he didn’t have the money yet but promised he’d figure something out. Lucky for him, Marites had his back and saved him from Lena’s greedy grip.

Roda went off on Lena when she started acting like a queen in the neighborhood, bossing everyone around to call a handyman to fix up the Dimaguiba abode. She even smacked a guy at the billiards hall when he didn’t jump to follow her orders. Seeing Lena's antics, Roda, surrounded by his minions, called her out for playing “reyna-reynahan.” Lena quickly shot back, asking if Roda was throwing shade at her. With a sassy grin, Roda replied, “Kung nabukulan ka, ikaw nga ang pinatatamaan ko.” They both made it crystal clear they weren’t here for fake friendships or sugarcoating anything. And with that, Roda strutted off with a dramatic exit!

In another round of real talk, Lena was all hyped about joining Rigor at his pinning ceremony to celebrate his promotion. But Roda, never one to mince words, hit her with, “Wow! Feeling mo invited ka, ‘day? Mangarap ka! For your information, ang legal families lang ang invited sa mga gano’ng ceremony, para ka namang hindi pulis. Mas marunong pa ako sa’yo.” Score one for Team Roda, since even Rigor agreed that Lena had no business showing up there.

Which brings us to the trending scene where Lena threw shade at Marites’ fresh makeup look, courtesy of Roda, for Rigor’s pinning ceremony. Lena was feeling herself, but Roda wasn’t about to let his new "frieny" be left out. He offered to do Lena’s makeup too—except his version would be so terrifying it would look like she was getting ready for her own funeral. “Tutulungan kita. Ang gagawin ko sa’yo ‘yung parang natutulog na makeup na hindi ka na gigising kahit kailan.” When a fuming Lena stormed off, Roda lifted Marites’ arm in victory, declaring her the winner by knockout.

Roda totally captured Lena’s annoyance one morning when he was pumped to share some exciting news with Marites, shouting, “Ang haba, haba, haba ng buhok mo, ‘day!” What happened was, the night before, Rigor had mistakenly hugged Roda and asked for forgiveness, thinking he was Marites. Thrilled, Roda urged Rigor to tell Marites what he had whispered to him the night prior, but Rigor remained silent, while Lena fumed with anger. When Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) asked what this good news was all about, Roda said it was only for good-hearted people like himself, Santino, Marites, and Camille (Yukii Takahashi), and then, with a cheeky glance at Lena, added, “Ay! Never mind.”

Lena scored a few points, though, when Marites packed up and left because of all the chaos and drama surrounding her family. With Marites out of the picture, Lena felt like the new queen of the house, so she made Roda’s life a bit harder by evicting him from Marites’ room and insisting he crash in the tiny living room instead.

But karma struck fast when Marites returned to reclaim her territory. We were all Roda, on the sidelines, eagerly cheering as Rigor stepped in to side with his legal wife, Marites, in her face-off against Lena. Rigor telling Lena to get back to her room or face eviction was like music to Roda’s ears. “I love it,” he kept shouting as he basked in the drama.

Another round of Roda versus Lena word war ensued when Roda, along with Marites and Santino, planned to visit Camille's wake after she tragically fell down a church stairway. Enter Lena, in full ‘kontrabida’ mode, with no shred of sympathy, saying that grieving Camille’s death was pointless since a lost life couldn’t be brought back. That’s when Rigor stepped in, reminding everyone that showing condolences is just what decent people do, which made Roda shoot Lena a major side-eye.
