5 times Christopher de Leon and Irma Adlawan clashed in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo

Veteran stars Christopher de Leon and Irma Adlawan being cast side-by-side in a teleserye is pure magic. Watch them combine their acting brilliance in their confrontation scenes in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo compiled by Friday 5.

The first scene in this video montage shows Ramon (Christopher) facing Olga (Irma) after a failed transaction that almost caused him trouble. In her defense, Olga said she had no choice but to act based on the situation and pressed that she is not an enemy. Well, we all know she is.

In turn, Ramon seems doubtful of Olga’s loyalty. That explains the bad blood between him and Olga’s son Greg (RK Bagatsing). In a scene, Ramon praised Greg for his competence in a sarcastic tone, then, asked Olga about her daughter. A flashback revealed that even Don Julio (Tommy Abuel) at first didn’t know that Olga has a daughter. Now, this adds another layer of mystery to the plot.

The low-key competition between them would extend to their children. Aside from the fact that Olga intended to keep Ramon away from his son Tanggol (Coco Martin), viewers know that she wants Greg to take over Don Julio’s position in the future, that is even if they're not biologically related. That’s why she insists on including Greg in the operations. There was a scene where she implied that Ramon would need Greg’s help in his transaction. But of course, Ramon was confident that he could handle all operations by himself. After all, he closed an important deal, which Greg failed to snatch.

In another scene, she implied that he underestimates Greg’s ability by giving him easier tasks. Thus, Ramon promised he would give Greg a hard time in their next operations. And we all know he’s the type to walk the talk.
