MANILA – Cebu Pacific, the Philippines' largest airline, said Thursday it would implement a new check-in baggage policy starting Jan. 15.

Two pieces of luggage will be allowed for check-in for passengers who purchased a standard 20 kg baggage allowance, 3 pieces for 32 kg allowance and 4 pieces for 40 kg allowance, Cebu Pacific said in an advisory.

"In line with continued efforts to streamline operations and provide a more efficient check-in experience at the airport, Cebu Pacific will also be strictly monitoring the number of pieces of checked-in baggage, based on the weight allowance purchased,” the airline said.

The maximum weight for each piece of baggage is 32 kg, the airline said.
