MANILA - The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on Thursday warned the public against social media accounts that pretend to be the official accounts of the BSP. The BSP made the warning after a picture of supposedly new banknote designs began circulating online after being posted by a fake central bank Facebook page. <div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/business/01/23/bsp-fake.png"/></figure></div>The central bank noted that &quot;the images and information on Philippine currency posted in the account are false as they clearly inconsistent with the features of genuine Philippine banknotes.&quot;The BSP said it has already talked to Facebook to take down the fake account.
