MANILA (UPDATE) - Jobs in the information technology (IT) field are still providing the highest salaries across all position levels, according to online jobs site JobStreet.com Philippines.In its 2016 Jobs and Salary Report, JobStreet.com said jobs in IT-related specializations provide monthly salaries ranging between P38,000 and P86,550.Junior executives, or employees with one to four years of experience, are getting average salaries of more than P38,000 per month.Jobs in this level include web developer, software developer, and systems administrator.IT-related supervisors, or employees with five or more years experience, are getting paid an average of P63,485 per month.Jobs in this level include systems analyst, IT project developer, and senior software developer.Managers and assistant managers in IT, meanwhile, are paid an average of P86,550 per month.Philip Gioca, JobStreet.com Philippines country manager, said in a press briefing on Thursday that most of the best paying jobs in the managerial level are in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.These job titles cover a broader scope, Gioca said, citing IT systems manager and IT solutions architect as some examples.The call center/IT-enabled services/BPO industry is also the most in-demand industry with more than 260,000 jobs posted on JobStreet.com in 2015.<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2016/business/02/18/jobstreet_021816.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">Philip Gioca, JobStreet.com Philippines country manager, discusses job trends in the Philippines.</div></figcaption></figure></div>Gioca noted that the IT field has been consistent in providing the highest paying jobs across all position levels.Other high paying specializations for junior executives include law/legal services (P30,324); actuarial/statistics (P28,406); customer service (P27,890); and training and development (P27,471)For supervisors, the highest paying jobs are in law/legal services (P43,128); quality control/assurance (P38,644); finance-related (P36,757); and customer service-related (P36,082).The highest paid managers and assistance managers are in corporate strategy (P79,309); actuarial/statistics (P75,784); quality control/assurance (P73,574); and customer service-related (P71,389).<div>RISING SALARIES, MORE JOBS</div>Gioca noted a significant jump in salaries of corporate strategists by as much as 47 percent in 2015.He added that average salaries across top jobs in demand in the Philippines jumped 10 percent in 2015 compared to last year.Salaries, especially for junior executive and supervisors, increased from at least 2 to 12 percent.JobStreet.com attributed the significant rise to the good economy, lowest unemployment rates in years, and the resulting competitive play in the job market.The total number of job advertisements posted on JobStreet.com Philippines in 2015 also increased by at least 20 percent from last year.&quot;[The report] is very reflective of how the economy is doing. The number of jobs grew, so therefore we can infer from that that the economy is much better because we can afford to give more jobs,&quot; Gioca said.JobStreet.com said the report is based on the actual salaries of all JobStreet.com Philippines postings during the period of October to December 2015.
