PAL: Travelers to, from Metro Manila may rebook, refund trips amid mass quarantine

MANILA - Philippine Airlines said Thursday its passengers with trips to and from Metro Manila -- from March 15 to April 14, 2020 -- may rebook, refund, or reroute their flights.The Philippines earlier adopted an inter-agency resolution banning travel to and from Metro Manila beginning Sunday to combat the rapid rise of cases of the novel coronavirus in the country.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/03/12/20/metro-manila-on-community-quarantine-as-covid-19-cases-rise">Metro Manila on ‘community quarantine’ as COVID-19 cases rise</a></li></ul>PAL said its passengers who are affected may:<ul>	<li>Rebook their flight to a new travel date after April 14, 2020, with waivers of rebooking fees</li>	<li>Refund the full cost of the ticket with waivers of refund fees</li>	<li>Reroute their ticket on the same fare class (fare difference rules apply)</li></ul>For flight rebooking, holders of PAL tickets may call their Reservations Hotline (+63 2) 8855 8888, or visit the nearest PAL ticketing office or log on to the ManageMyBookingPortal at www.philippineairlines.com.&quot;For holders of tickets issued by travel agents, please contact or visit the nearest partner travel agency of PAL for your rebooking needs,&quot; the PAL said in a statement.The airline assured international and domestic flights with routes to and from Cebu, Clark and Davao will continue to operate.&quot;This is a developing situation. We shall provide further updates,&quot; PAL said. &quot;Rest assured that we will comply with all government mandates and continue to coordinate closely with the government authorities in the interest of the health and safety of all our passengers.&quot;The Philippines quarantined Metro Manila’s 12.8 million people, banned mass gatherings and suspended classes for a month after the fast-spreading COVID-19 infected at least 52 people in the country, 5 of whom died.
