MANILA -- Mislatel will move the start of its commercial operations to early 2021 from late 2020, citing the delay in the issuance of a certificate that will allow it to operate, a member of the third telco&#x27;s consortium said Friday.The early 2021 timetable is based on the premise that the certificate of public convenience will be issued in March, Chelsea Logistics Holdings Corp told the stock exchange.Mislatel, backed by Chelsea, Udenna Corp and China Telecom, secured rights in November to challenge the dominance of PLDT Inc and Globe Telecom.&quot;With the delay in the resolution of its franchise, Mislatel’s planned start of commercial operations has been moved further to early 2021 from the initial expected commencement date of late 2020, under the consideration that its CPCN (certificate of public convenience) will be awarded by March,&quot; Chelsea said.The timetable for the roll-out is still late 2020, it said. The Department of Information and Communications Technology needs to wait for the ratified Congress resolution on the franchise of Mislatel before issuing a certificate, DICT officer-in-charge Eliseo Rio earlier said. The Senate in February <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/02/06/19/senate-approves-mislatel-transfer-of-ownership-to-dennis-uy-china-telecom-consortium">approved</a> the change in ownership of Mislatel, paving the way for it to operate.
