MANILA — Red Planet Hotels announced it will close all of its hotels in Luzon starting March 18 due to the imposed lockdown over coronavirus (COVID-19) fears.

These hotels are:

• Red Planet Manila Amorsolo
• Red Planet Manila Aseana City
• Red Planet Aurora Boulevard
• Red Planet Manila Binondo
• Red Planet Manila Mabini
• Red Planet Manila Makati
• Red Planet Manila Bay
• Red Planet Manila Ortigas
• Red Planet Quezon Timog
• Red Planet Angeles City

The Luzon lockdown is scheduled to last for a month, and guests who have made prepaid bookings during this period, said Red Planet Hotels, are eligible for a full refund.

Those who have made bookings through services like Agoda are being asked to contact these third parties for assistance.

“In these times of hardship, I urge you all to be safe and look after yourselves, your families, and your neighbours,” Red Planet Hotels CEO Tim Hansing said in a statement released Wednesday.

Red Planet Hotel's advise comes a day after the whole of Luzon was placed on lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines breached the 200 mark Wednesday.
