Pilipinas Shell net income reaches P5.1 billion in 2018

MANILA - Pilipinas Shell on Friday said its net income reached P5.1 billion in 2018 despite aggressive competition and higher fuel prices.The oil firm told the stock exchange that it delivered P14.1 billion in cash from operations, enough to cover dividends and P4.1 billion in capital expenditures.&quot;Strong corporate governance, consistent strategy and commitment to our core values give us the confidence to compete in a challenging business environment,&quot; said Pilipinas Shell president and CEO Cesar Romero.The company said it has allocated P6 billion for expansion of its retail business and optimization of projects this year.Pilipinas Shell has a retail network of 1,084 stores nationwide. It plans to open 50 to 70 new sites this year.
