MANILA - The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said Thursday said it would move all flights to Terminal 1 as airlines reduce operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting March 28, Gulf Air, Korean Airlines, Asiana Airlines, China Airlines, Hong Kong Air, Eva Air, Japan Airlines, Jeju Air, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Royal Brunei will operate from Terminal 1, MIAA said.The move will minimize exposure of airport workers while ensuring continuous operations in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, said MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal.Oman Air will cease operations from Thursday while Singapore Airlines and Royal Brunei will suspend flights to and from Manila starting March 29, the airport authority said.Philippine Airlines said it would suspend international flights starting Thursday, and made its last 2 flights out of Manila on Wednesday. The return flights will be on Friday, MIAA said.PAL, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia have suspended operations because of the lockdown in Luzon and travel restrictions imposed by other countries because of the COVID-19 pandemic. MIAA earlier closed NAIA Terminal 4, Terminal 2 domestic wing and Terminal 3 domestic, after a ban on domestic air travel was issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
