ABS-CBN News</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA - Huawei is unleashing a trio of P20 phones this week and in between the budget-friendly P20 Lite and the triple camera P20 Pro is the P20, no second name required.</p><p>At first glance, only the third camera lens separates the P20 from the P20 Pro. The P20 Pro&#x27;s 6.1-inch screen is also only marginally bigger than the P20&#x27;s 5.8 inches.</p><p>The P20 comes in the same glossy colors as the P20 Pro: blue, black, pink gold and the color-shifting &#x27;twilight&#x27; that looks like a unicorn flew into the Aurora Borealis. The glass front and back flow seamlessly into the solid metal frame and the top of the screen has a notch that can be hidden in the settings.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/business/04/23/042218_huawei2.jpg"/><figcaption>Huawei&#x27;s P20 is shown with the P20 Pro and the P20 Lite. <em>ABS-CBN News</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>The P20 has a 12 megapixel RGB sensor paired with a 20 megapixel monochrome sensor engineered by Leica. It lacks the third telephoto lens on the Pro that allows zoom of up to 5 times without loss in detail, assisted by Huawei&#x27;s in-house Kirin 970 chipset with built-in artificial intelligence.</p><p>The same machine learning capabilities allow the P20&#x27;s shooters to adjust automatically to a variety of scenes from blue skies, pets, food, flowers and green scapes. The AI is most useful when eliminating distortion from shaky hands, resulting in clear night shots even without a tripod.</p><p>The P20 runs Android 8.1 overlaid with Huawei&#x27;s EMUI 8.1. It has 4 gigabytes of RAM, 128 gigabytes of on-board storage and a 3,400 mAh battery.</p><p>Even with just 2 cameras instead of 3, shots on the P20 were comparable to the P20 Pro in terms of color, brightness and sharpness. According to camera ratings website DxOMark, the P20 is currently the second highest rated mobile camera available, next only to its Pro sibling.</p><p>Based on 4 days of initial testing, the 3,400 mAh battery was also enough to last until the end of the day, though with less juice compared to the P20 Pro, which has a 4,000 mAh.</p><p>We will be publishing a full review soon.
