<p>MANILA—Restaurateur Vicvic Villavicencio passed away on April 29, Monday, due to a heart attack, his family confirmed Tuesday. He was 67.</p><p>Villavicencio is the founder and president of First Foods, the company behind Dad&#x27;s World Buffet, Sambo Kojin, Number 1 Barbecues, and Ogetsu Hime. </p><p>He popularized the concept of eat-all-you-can buffet dining with Dad&#x27;s. Villavicencio founded Kamayan restaurant in 1977 and introduced Japanese cuisine with the Saisaki brand. </p><p>Dad&#x27;s buffet is popular for offering 50-percent discounts if there are no leftovers, his family said, adding that his restaurants also do not collect service charge. </p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">I am shattered and grief stricken by the passing of one of my dearest friends, Vic Vic Villavicencio.
